Description
Method and device for separating solid substances from suspensions To solid substances from suspensions (slurries :) of such substances in a liquid to win, a type of flotation is often used, wherein gas, usually air, is continuously dissolved in the suspension and then by reducing the pressure again from the liquid in a separating = or Excretion device is excreted, with the thus excreted gas in the Form of fine vesicles the solid ones suspended in the liquid. Particle adheres and these for ascending to the free surface of the liquid in the separating device brings. The adherence of solid particles to the gas bubbles: this is usually the case by adding a suitable flotation agent. reinforced to suspension. For example Such a method is used extensively to cut fibers and possibly also other solid substances from the wastewater of paper, cellulose and the like Reclaim machines. The pressure reduction is usually thereby achieved achieved that the liquid containing the fibers with the dissolved therein under pressure Gas through a pressure reducing valve into a separating vessel under atmospheric pressure may flow out. It is even. known to enable swimming pool preparation Gas, e.g. B. air, to be excreted that the water through a vacuum upright separating device is sucked in: The first-mentioned method for -treatment of suspensions has the disadvantage that a considerable part of the dissolved gas in the liquid remains dissolved because the pressure is only lowered to atmospheric pressure will. In the latter process, the dissolved gas is eliminated more completely, but the process requires relatively expensive equipment and is operational difficult.
The present invention relates to a method of excretion of solid substances from susceptibility of these substances in liquids Flotation treatment using gas contained in the liquid. negative pressure solved: is. According to the invention, an effective gas separation is also made possible in the event that the flotation is carried out in an open separator is carried out at atmospheric pressure. This is achieved according to the invention by that the suspension introduced under pressure with gas dissolved therein under pressure through a nozzle device is allowed to flow out, in which the kinetic energy of the flowing Liquid creates a negative pressure (vacuum) in the device, whereby the Gas excretion is accelerated.
The invention also relates to apparatus for practicing this procedure.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing. Fig. I shows partially in section, schematically, a system for carrying out the invention, preferably for the treatment of fibrous water, e.g. B. wastewater from a paper or pulp machine, to recover the fibers. Fig.2 shows a section through a particularly suitable one Execution of the nozzle device.
In. In. Fig. I of the drawing i is a centrifugal pump, which fiber-containing- Water from which the fibers are to be recovered, an open flotation treatment tank 2 of essentially known design through a pipeline 3; negative pressure feeds. A return pipe 4 leads from the pressure side of the pump to an injector 3 ,. on the suction side of the pump for the injection and remote distribution of air into the fibrous water. The air dissolves under the pressure created by the pump more or less completely in the water. In a special one. Department 21 of the container 2, the pipeline 3 opens through a nozzle device 6 with an outflow channel designed in this way, that there is negative pressure in the outflow of the water. This will make the Excretion of the air dissolved in the water is very accelerated. To achieve the desired Effect is the nozzle channel expediently with a controllable, in the flow direction gradually increasing cross-section carried out. In the embodiment shown in FIG the nozzle wall is strongly rounded (approximately 90 ° 'from the smallest duct cross-section) - and in the outer part of the nozzle channel and opposite the same is a plate-shaped one Washer 7 attached, which is carried by a screw spindle 8, by means of which the disc can be adjusted in relation to the nozzle wall, so that the cross-section the nozzle channel can be regulated as required. Those in the outflow freely Made air is distributed extremely finely in the water and adheres as small bubbles on the fibers in the water. As a result of the water flow through the vacuum created by the nozzle channel, the air elimination is particularly complete, and it turns out that the air once excreted is only slightly different Just dissolve again in the water when: the pressure at the outlet end of the hüsenkanal again increases to atmospheric pressure. After the water with the fibers it contains has flowed over the overflow g on the vaginal wall io of the container 2, rise the fibers to the surface in the container 2 and are in a known manner by a Conveyor ii removed while the purified water through an outlet z2 at the bottom of the container flows off.
At the outlet of the pipe 3; is a preferably flat Seheibe 13, attached and, including a disk 7a, which is also preferably flat and has holes so that: it can slide freely on bolts 14 which are screwed into the disk i.3. The screw spindle & rests against the top of the disk 7a. Under the influence of the negative pressure generated during operation, the disk 7a is pressed upwards against the spindle .8 and can therefore be set in the desired position by means of this.
During breaks in operation, the disk 7 sinks down onto the heads of the bolts 14. If the centrifugal pump i is then started, the negative pressure generated in the nozzle device 7a, u3, is initially very small, so that the pump works against a low resistance when it is started. Gradually, however, the negative pressure rises and lifts the disk 7P upwards against the stop. the lower end of the spindle 8.
The method of the invention is not directed to the treatment of fibrous Suspensions are limited, but other suspensions can be used for the recovery of therein contained solid substances are used, so z. B. for mechanical cleaning cloacal water, for the recovery of carbon from wastewater during washing of coal etc: The process can also be used for flotation of ores and others Minerals are used that are finely ground for the purpose of enrichment and immersed in water or another liquid.
