Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine aus mehreren Schichten zusammengesetzte photo- oder sekundäremissionsempfindliche Elektrode.The invention relates to one composed of several layers photo or secondary emission sensitive electrode.
Es ist bereits bekannt,. Photoschichten in der Weise aufzubauen, wie es die Abb. z zeigt. Gemäß der Abbildung wird auf eine aus Silber bestehende Unterlage nach Oxydation des Silbers, was durch die 02 Schicht veranschaulicht werden soll, ein Alkal'imetall, z. $. Cäsium, aufgedampft und dieses wiederum mit einer dünnen Silberschicht überzogen. Die Vorgänge; die während des Schichtaufbaues und nachträglich zwischen den einzelnen Schichten vor sich gehen, lassen sich ohne weiteres nichtübersehen. Es ist aber wohl anzunehmen, daß die Bestandteile der auf der Silberunterlage angebrachten Schichten einander durchdringen, so daß, wie es die Abb. 2 zeigt, auf dem Unterlagemetall eine Schicht entsteht, die sich aus den atomaren bzw. molekularen Bestandteilen Ag (-), Cs (-@-) und Cs20 (o) zusammensetzt.It is already known. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine photo- oder sekundäremissionsempfindliche Elektrode, bei der auf einer Unterlage aus gut leitendem Metall (Ag,-Cu), nach dessen Oxydation ein Alkalimetall aufgedampft ist, die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß das Alkalimetall mit einer 5lünnen Schicht eines Metalls (Bi, Sb, Pb) überzogen ist, dessen Leitfähigkeit geringer ist als die des Alkalimetalls.
