Description

Bei Fahrzeugen, die in sehr staub- und sandreichen Landschaften, beispielsweise in Sand-,vüsten, betrieben werden müssen, wird durch den auch in die Zündeinrichtungen eindringenden Sand die Betriebssicherheit dieser Fahrzeugzubehörteile derart beeinträchtigt, daß mit erhöhten Ausfällen der ganzen Fahrzeuge nach verhältnismäßig kurzer Betriebszeit zu rechnen ist. Über die Zündverteiler gestülpte Säcke aus Geweben haben nicht befriedigt, weil sie nicht genügend haltbar sind und leicht verlorengehen. Eine wesentlich bessere Staubschutzvorrichtung ist dagegen gemäß der Erfindung eine im Innern der Verteiler- und Unterbrechergehäuse angeordnete, den Raum mit der Unterbrechereinrichtung gegenüber der Verteilerscheibe vollständig abdeckende und mit mindestens einer Bohrung für den Durchtritt der Verteilerwelle versehene Blechscheibe, welche zweckmäßig im Verteilergehäuse zentriert ist. Durch eine derartige Scheibe wird das Eindringen von Sand und seine zerstörende Wirkung auf alle im Innern des Verteiler- und Unterbrechergehäuses vorhandenen Teile der Zündeinrichtung vermieden. Der Rand d der Scheibe a ragt in eine zu diesem Zweck vorgesehene Rille i eines auf die Verteilerwelle k aufgesteckten Verteilerläufers l hinein, wodurch das Eindringen von Staub durch die Bohrung in der Scheibe a erschwert ist. Die Scheibe a selbst ist aus dünnem Blech hergestellt, so daß die darauf aufsitzende Verteilerscheibe m keine unzulässige Längsverschiebung erfährt.
