Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Drehofen zum Schmelzen von Metallen, der eine im Querschnitt vieleckige Ofenausmauerung aufweist. Solche Öfen dienen insbesondere zum Schmelzen von Leicht-. metallen in einem Salzbad. Die im Querschnitt vieleckige Ofenausmauerung begünstigt das Wälzen der meist kleinstückigen Metallteile und beschleunigt das Niederschmelzen derselben. Es hat sich aber gezeigt, daß die Ausmauerung in den ebenen Flanken rasch ausgewaschen wird, so daß der Querschnitt bald eine nahezu runde Form erhält und der Wälzvorgang nunmehr benachteiligt wird.The invention relates to a rotary furnace for melting metals, which has a furnace lining that is polygonal in cross-section.
