Nach Fig. i wäre
a ab.
With switching thermostats in the previously known version with gas,
Expansion bodies filled with liquid or vapor or with bimetal expansion bodies,
only small currents can be switched, especially when there are only small temperature differences
act on these expansion bodies or heat sensors. For larger switching capacities
Such a thermostat can only be used as a control switch for a then still necessary
Contactor can be used. In contrast, according to the present invention, the
direct switching capacity can be significantly increased by one on the thermostat
attached auxiliary heater, as described below. After that, through
this is the real temperature difference acting on the thermostat between
the switch-on and switch-off temperature is artificially increased. Larger temperature differences
allow larger contact distances on the switching part and thus a greater current switching capacity.
The auxiliary heating device is expediently in the immediate vicinity of the heat sensor
or arranged expansion body of the thermostat, so that only these parts if possible
be heated. The auxiliary heater can consist of a very small heating resistor
(only a few watts) and a switch or contact thermometer, which am
are best placed on or in the thermostat, unless they are special
Purposes a different arrangement is even more advantageous. A possible attachment and
Circuit is z. B. shown in Fig. I and 2 of the drawing. According to Fig. I would be
the mode of operation of the auxiliary heating so that when the temperature drops, the expansion body
c, which is also the heat sensor of the thermostat here, pulls together
a certain temperature (adjustable) brings the switch to switch on and
so that the utility circuit closes. At the same time, the auxiliary circuit is connected to the
Barinlying heating resistor a through the auxiliary switch b depending on the
Movement of the lower lever of the toggle system interrupted. ! m auxiliary circuit
So there is still no current flowing because it was previously through the main switch and now
is interrupted by the auxiliary switch. I-rst at a small increase in the
At room temperature, the expansion body expands and thus initially brings the auxiliary switch
for making contact. The heating resistor 'a is then at full voltage and' gives
the developing heat via the baffle e directly to the expansion body
a from. Due to this great warming, the expansion body expands strongly and brings
quickly turn the main switch off. even if this has a larger contact distance
having. With the useful circuit, however, there is also an auxiliary circuit at the same time
interrupted again, so that the auxiliary heater and the expansion body again
cool to room temperature. Instead of the auxiliary switch b in FIG
a contact thermometer t according to Fig. 2 take over the circuit of the auxiliary circuit.
In Fig. 2, the heating resistor a is attached to a thermal bulb d, so.
that the heat can flow off directly onto them. Otherwise the switching process is
similar to the one previously described.
After using this auxiliary heating device, which only requires little material,
requires little space and only requires a short-term power consumption of 1 to 2 watts,
it is possible to switch larger currents than before directly with the thermostat itself
at temperature differences of i degrees and even below, is one in the invention
see substantial improvement of the known switching thermostats.
