Die Erfindung betrifft ein Profilelement zur Bildung von Randeinfassungen, Verkleidungen öder dgl, insbesondere für Schränke, Fächer, Behälter, Briefkästen, Schaukästen und dgl. Das Profilelement besteht aus einem Abschnitt eines langgestreckten, hohlen Profilmaterials, beispielsweise aus stranggepreßtem Metall oder Kunststoff. Profilelemente dieser Art zur Bildung von Verkleidungen, Abdeckungen, Rahmen, Einfassungen usw_v beispielsweise für die Ecken und Kanten von Kastenanlagen verschiedenster Art (Briefkästen, Schließfächer, Schaukästen), sind in vielen verschiedenen Ausführungen und Querschnittsformen bekannt. Diese Profilelemente werden von einem endlosen Strang des Profilmaterials auf die benötigte Länge abgeschnitten und zur Bildung eines Rahmens, einer Verkleidung oder dergleichen von außen her auf den abzudeckenden Gegenstand aufgesetzt und von außen an diesem befestigt.
