Die Anwendung eines Gewebes bzw. Geflechtes, vornehmlich aus Metall
als Grundstoff von besonderer Elastizität, Stabilität und Rauheit der Unterfläche
zum Zwecke der Verhinderung des Rutschens und Gleitens, ist in gleicher Weise sinngemäß,
nur in anderer Formung bzw. Verformung, auch auf Fahrzeuge aller Art anzuwenden,
z. B. für Fahrräder, Motorräder und Kraftfahrzeuge.The use of a fabric or mesh, primarily made of metal

um den Radmantel gelegt und durch Befestigungsmittel, wie Druckknöpfe, Bänder, Bindungen
od. dgl., innen, d. h. unterhalb der Felge, befestigt, so daß sich der Metallgewebeüberzug
vollkommen der Radbereifung anpaßt. Sofern der Überzug als Streifen ausgeführt ist,
werden die zusammenstoßenden Enden genau aneinander angepaßt und durch eine abschließende
Bindung abgebunden, verfestigt bzw. verklebt, so daß die Stelle der Verfestigung
keine Unebenheiten bildet. In der Ausführungsform als Ring erfolgt die Aufbringung
des Gleitschutzüberzuges analog der Montageart eines Fahrrad- oder Autoreifens.Basically, a strip of such a metal mesh is used here

Das z. B. aus Metallspänen bestehende Geflecht i, das in der Abwicklung
gemäß Fig. i unterbrochen dargestellt ist, ist z. B. mit den 'Stoffbändern 2 und
6 versehen, auf denen Befestigungsmittel, wie Druckknöpfe 3, artgeordnet sind. Das
Geflecht i wird, wie aus Fig.2 ersichtlich, um das Reifenprofil d herumgelegt und
über der Radfelge 5 zwischen den Speichen mit den Knöpfen 3 zusammengehalten. Da
das Geflecht i elastisch ist, kann es unter Vorspannung um den Reifen gelegt werden
und so befestigt sein, wodurch ein Rutschen des Gleitschutzmittels vermieden wird.
Die raube Oberfläche des Geflechtes i gibt einen Schutz gegen Abgleiten des Reifenprofils
d auf glatter Straße. Die beiden Enden 7 und 8 des Geflechtes i Nverden z. B. mit
den Bändern 9 und 1o miteinander verbunden. Es ist auch möglich, das Gleitschutzmittel
nach Art eines Fahrradmantels endlos auszubilden und unter Ausnutzung der Elastizität
auf das Reifenprofil 4 aufzuziehen. Ebenso ist es mög'lic'h, die Innenseite des
