RS02C1 + 2 MeSH-> RS02SMe + MeCI + H2S
(R = nichtaromatischer Kohlenwasserstoffrest,
Me = Metallatom).
(Sulfochlorierung). Wenn man Monosulfochloride erhalten will, läßt man dabei (vgl.
Process for the preparation of nonaromatic thiosulphonic acid salts It has been found that nonaromatic thiosulphonic acid salts are obtained if nonaromatic sulphohalogenides are reacted with metal sulphides or metal sulphides in the presence of anhydrous solvents which dissolve both reactants. The implementation proceeds z. B. according to the following general equation RS02C1 + 2 MeSH-> RS02SMe + MeCI + H2S
(R = non-aromatic hydrocarbon residue,
Me = metal atom).
The non-aromatic sulfohalides used as starting materials can be obtained in any way, for example by treating saturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbons or halogenated hydrocarbons under irradiation with short-wave light simultaneously with sulfur dioxide and halogen, preferably chlorine (sulfochlorination). If you want to obtain monosulfonyl chlorides, the action of sulfur dioxide and halogen is allowed to go only so far (cf. Patent 715,747) that about half or less of the hydrocarbons used are converted into sulfohalides.
The reaction is carried out with the exclusion of water in the presence
organic solvents from which are found under the working conditions of the process

change. The solvents used must contain both the sulfohalide and
dissolve the metal sulfide or hydrosulfide. But you can also use two solvents
use, each of which solves only one of the two implementation participants. In the
Unification of the two solutions, which for their part are not or only partially intertwined
need to be soluble, the thiosulfonic acid salts are then formed
just like when using a single solvent, dds both reaction participants
solves.
Alcohols, for example, are particularly suitable as solvents
Low-boiling monohydric alcohols, such as ethyl, ethyl and propyl alcohol, also
z. B. as a solvent for only one of the reaction participants, namely the sulfohalides,
the unreacted proportions of the hydrocarbon oil from which the sulfohalides
were generated. The reaction is conveniently carried out with stirring and at the usual rate
or slightly elevated temperature. If alcohols are used as solvents,
so the reaction temperature should be chosen at most so high that no reaction
the sulfohalides takes place with the alcohols. When implementing a too

Das bei der Umsetzung ausfallende Halogenid, z. B. Alkali-, Ammonium-
