Die Extraktionszeit ist demzufolge al>hängig von dem Konzentratioiisgefälle zwischen den innerhalb der Zellen befindlichen Substanzen und dem außerhalb der Zellen befindlichen Lösungsmittel. Aus wirtschaftlichell Griinden ist man nun in der chemischen Technik bestrebt, die Extraktionszeit möglichst weitgehell(l herabzusetzen. Daher ist man bemüht, das konzentrat ionsgefälle während ,des Extraktionsvorganges groß zu halten. Um diesen Zweck zu erreichen, hat man schon dafür gesorgt, durch in die Extraktionsgefäße eingebaute Rührwerke den Zellenwänden stets frische, d. h. schwach konzentrierte Lösungsmittel zuzuführen. Durch dieses verhältnismäßilg rohe Verfahren konnte aber der gewünschte Zweck nur in äußerst unvollkommenem Maße erreicht werden.
