The subject matter of the present invention is a wooden diibel for filling holes, damaged areas or the like in the outer surfaces of wood to be veneered, polished or smoothed out. It is known to leave a space free under your dowel when dowelling, in which the glue shot is received, so that the glue joint is not pushed apart by the excess glue. These dowels, known as so-called fastening dowels, cannot be used as transverse wooden dowels. Just as little space can be left under the inserted dowel with transverse wood dowels, because on the one hand the necessary space is not available and on the other hand, if it is present, the dowel sinks into the surface as the wood shrinks and the glue dries, and the inserted one Dowel is visible through the paint, the polish or the spread. The cross-wood dowels, as their name suggests, primarily serve the purpose of adapting to the surface of the wood through the cross-wood fiber structure in such a way that the different properties can hardly be recognized. In order to prevent the dowel from being sucked in and to be able to absorb the excess glue, the subject matter of the invention provides that, for the purpose of the dowelling known when dowelling, a space in the dowel hole is left free for the excess glue on the dowel itself. known bevels, indentations or cavities are provided so that the excess glue can enter the recesses of the dowel, whereby it is even possible that the dowel itself sits on the bottom of the dowel hole. These cavities are zweckr n ä 'ßigerweise by annular turned recesses perpendicular to the axis of the rotary ring on the edge, provided on the cylindrical surface of the plug or arn reason.
The subject matter of the present invention is shown in the drawing by way of example
Embodiment illustrated, and it shows Fig. I the previous type of
Dowel, Fig. 2 the dowel according to the present invention in the simplest embodiment,
3 shows a structural variant with a slightly arched dowel base, FIG. 4 shows a barrel-like,
spherical or hall-like dowels, Fig. 5 shows a central cavity for entry
of the excess glue.
i i beim Eindrücken des Dübels herausgepreßt wird.
In the piece of wood i, the damaged area is drilled out with a dowel drill, a zapfenbohrerarti.gen device, the cavity is coated with glue and the dowel 2 is inserted into this cavity. The layer of glue 3 at the bottom dries up over time, so that between the top edge .4 of the piece of wood and the top edge 5 of the piece of wood, a space 6, an indentation or indentation, is created which is even noticeable through the paint. To avoid this, the lower edge of the dowel is beveled so that a broken or beveled edge 7 is produced. The excess of glue that may collect at the bottom of the bore enters the cavity 8 formed and is harmless. The dowel 2 can be cylindrical or have a slightly convex lower surface 9. However, as shown in FIG. 4, it can also have a barrel-like, spherical or conical cross-section, so that the excess glue is pressed out through the side walls ii when the dowel is pressed in. Vertical grooves can promote extrusion. It is also possible, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, to provide small indentations on the dowel, which on the one hand take up the excess glue, but otherwise can be used to take up glue in order to provide the dowel with the necessary Ledminasse. These grooves 12 can run transversely, run vertically, be arranged in the middle, as hi "il> ucliturigen 13 or more.
