K i bis K 12.
geeignet. The rectifier consists of the i shown schematically in Fig. I-phase synchronous motor SMRO, SMST and the slip rings on the same shaft W located S i to S 6 and the commutators AC with the corresponding carbon brushes K i to K 12 has been An i-phase synchronous motor was therefore chosen for the circulating rectifier to ensure that it always starts up on the same phase, which is essential for the correct timing of the commutator during operation and the associated conversion of the alternating current into direct current. The structure of the commutator A, ß, C is shown in Fig.2. It consists of two semi-ring-shaped metals SWx and SWy, which face each other at a distance equal to the width of the associated carbon brushes Kx and Ky on the shaft W. The distance in between prevents a short circuit when the coals pass from one half ring to the other during the run. Fig. 3 shows the structure of a slip ring S with the associated carbon brush K for the power supply. The supply of alternating current takes place for the i. Phase via the carbon brushes K i and K 2 and the slip rings S t and S 2 to the half-rings SW i and SW 2 of the commutator A. By the rotation of the commutator in the rhythm of the Hall waves of the alternating current through the synchronous motor SAIRo A reversal of polarity is correct in terms of time, so that direct current can be drawn from carbon brushes K 7 and K 8. For the 2nd phase, the alternating current input occurs analogously at K 5 and K 6 and the direct current decrease at K ii and K 12 and for the 3rd phase alternating current input at K 3 and K 4 and direct current decrease at K io and K g. The alternating current input can also be reversed, i.e. on the commutator side AC, and the direct current can be drawn on the slip rings. For the correct setting of the operating points, the position of the commutator AC on the shaft W is variably arranged in order to be able to take into account the difference in pliases or the phase shift when using several phases and using chokes and capacitors. The holder for the carbon brush pairs on all of the commutator side AC can also be pivoted in both directions by go °. If the AC currents are set correctly, the transition of the counting rings from one half-ring to the other occurs during the run near the zero line of the alternating current curve, which prevents strong spark formation and achieves a high load capacity. When starting up, make sure that the alternating current for rectification is only applied to the machine after the synchronous motor has fully started up. This is done by pressing a zero current switch after the rectifier has started up. Special advantages are the possibility of directing the alternating current for rectification directly from the mains or via a transformer to the commutator, as well as the low drive force required to move the commutator, which reduces losses to a minimum will. The synchronous circulating rectifier is particularly suitable for operating direct current arc lamps.
