Die bisher bekanntgewordenen Fernrohrbrillen bestanden aus zwei Fernrohrhälften und einem Trägergestell, ähnlich einer Brillenfassung. Der Nachteil des letzteren bestand darin, daß das normale Brillengestell als Fernrohrträger zu schwach und biegsam ist und damit die Parallelität der beiden Fernrohrachsen nicht gewährleistet ist.
