Description

Durch die frühere Methode der flachen Pressung von Blumen und Pflanzen für Herbarien erhält mau eigentlich nur noch Pflanzenreste, die nur für den Kenner die Erinnerung an das wirkliche Aussehen der Pflanzen hervorrufen. Durch die Methode der Pflanzentrocknung gemäß der Erfindung bleiben diese in ihrer natürlichen Farbe und Form erhalten, so daß für jedermann der natürliche Habitus der •Pflanzen deutlich ist. Das Verfahren zum Trocknen der Pflanzen ist ein Auffüllen der frischen Pflanzen in geeigneten passenden Behältern mit trockenem feinem Sand (Kalkgrieß oder Kunststoff, Glaspulver) oder jeweils geeignetem Füllmaterial, bis die Pflanzen vollständig bedeckt sind. Dieses Auffüllen muß langsam geschehen, damit die Pflanzen, namentlich die Blüten, nicht zerdrückt werden, sondern ihre natürliche Form behalten. Der Sand muß von unten nach oben steigen und immer sinnvoll rieseln, um die natürliche Form der Pflanzen zu erhalten. Zur Trocknung ist künstliche Wärme erforderlich.
