Description

  • Pessar Die bisher bekanntgewordenen Intrauterinpessare und Okklusivpessare sind in der Regel aus Werkstoffen, wie Metall (Silber, Messing, Aluminium), oder aus Preßstoffen hergestellt, die meistens nicht den medizinischen und hygienischen Erfordernissen entsprechen. Das Gewicht der Metallpessare beträgt 20 l)is 40 g, und ihr Sitz ist nicht in jedem Falle gewährleistet. Zum anderen wird Metall vom Körper immer als Fremdkörper empfunden.
  • Aufbauend auf diese Mängel wird ein Pessar vorgeschlagen, das aus Polymethacrylsäuremethylester gefertigt ist. Derartige auf Kunstharzl)asis aufgebaute Stoffe werden in der Zahntechnik verwandt. Der besondere Vorzug dieser Stoffe ist, daß sie medizinisch und hygienisch einxvandfrei sind.
  • Diese medizinischen Kunstharze haben im besonderen die günstige Eigenschaft, am bzw. im Körper im nassen Zustande selbstansaugend zu sitzen. Ein ungewolltes Lösen (Verlieren) wird dadurch ausgeschlossen.
  • Das Gewicht eines solchen Pessars aus den oben bezeichneten medizinischen Werkstoffen beträgt 3 bis 4 g, was jede Behinderung und Störung ausschließt. Das Pessar wird dank seiner oben heschriebenen Vorzüge besonders gut vertragen.

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH: Pessar, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es aus Polymethacrylsäuremethylester, wie sie in der Zahntechnik verwandt werden, hergestellt ist.
