Description
Process for the digestion of color bases Multiple, especially in the graphic and wax-processing industries, in which printing inks, candles, Shoe creme (so-called. Blitzschwärzen) etc. are produced, one uses the necessary Color bases in an open-minded form. In the graphics industry, the open-minded serve Color bases in particular to the printing inks, whose carbon black component is proportionate has a brownish tinge to a deep black appearance due to the complementary color give. For this purpose - '\ - ethyl violet, nigrosine and indulin bases are used. In the wax-processing industry, on the other hand, color bases are primarily used Line for the actual coloring. So z. 13. Thrust creme with outcrops of Igrosine and indulin rabbits are deep black in color. As a means of digestion so far mostly higher molecular weight fatty acids from vegetable or animal oils and fats used, but these, especially at present, are not light enough accessible.
ß. auf etwa roo°.It has now been found that this is the case in the production of fatty acids by oxidation of higher molecular weight hydrocarbons, especially paraffins, residues obtained can be used with advantage for the digestion of the color bases. The operation is extremely simple; heating is generally sufficient the color bases together with the residues mentioned, e.g. ß. to about roo °.
It is often an advantage to remove the paraffin oxidation residues in Combination with other information Beans, including those of vegetable origin or animal character, or or and means, generally only as Act, apply, z. B. together with olein, stearic acid, montanic acid, Montan wax, paraffin oxidation fatty acid, mineral oil, resins, waxes, asphalt, paraffin and the like. The use of such additives allows the digestion to be tolerated with wax and binder combinations or their consistency to a certain extent to vary.
The parts given in the examples below are parts by weight. Example i zoo parts of one in the production of fatty acids by paraffin oxidation The residue obtained is heated to about 100 ° in a water bath. On it bears one hundred parts by weight of nigrosine base and heated with stirring until the reaction the base is finished. The digestion product obtained is ideally suited for the coloring of shoe creams, lightning blacks and the like.
Instead of the nigrosine base, an indulin base with about use the same success. The quantitative ratio of oxidation residue to nigrosine base can be varied within wide limits. Sampleioo parts of one in the extraction The residue obtained from fatty acids by paraffin oxidation is 50 parts Methyl violet base mixed with heating to about 100 ° until the reaction ended is. The digestion product is very suitable for the so-called fining of graphic Colors, both of inks for letterpress printing and inks for the Offset printing and gravure printing. Instead of the methyl violet base, other colored ones can also be used Color bases are unlocked in the same way. Example 3 A mixture of 100 Parts of an accumulating in the production of fatty acids by paraffin oxidation Residue and 100 parts of a tail fatty acid boiling above 2901 at 100 mm pressure from the same paraffin oxidation is heated to 100 °. Carries into the melt gradually add 50 parts of chrysoidine base and heat, while stirring, until the implementation is finished. A brown fat- and wax-soluble dye is obtained, which is particularly suitable for coloring shoe creams and wax stains.
