Um Ballets im Cirkus aufzuführen, werden bisher unmittelbar auf dem Sandboden der Cirkusbahn Stoffunterlagen ausgebreitet oder auch in einzelnen Fällen Bretterboden gelegt, auf welchen die Tänze aufgeführt werden. Dieser Behelf ist aber recht unvollkommen, nicht nur, weil das Tanzen auf solchen Unterlagen die ausübenden Personen leicht ermüdet, sondern auch weil die künstlerischen Leistungen der letzteren wegen der tiefen Lage des Reitbahnbodens nicht in vollem Mafse zur Geltung kommen. Es ist daher als Ersatz der bisherigen wenig zweckmäfsigen Unterlagen eine Plattform erdacht worden, welche, über die erhöhte Einfassung der Reitbahn sich ausdehnend, leicht und schnell aufgebaut, nach Benutzung ebenso leicht und schnell wieder entfernt und in wenig Raum einnehmendem Zustande aufbewahrt werden kann. Die neue Plattform setzt sich aus einer Anzahl tafelförmiger Bretter« zusammen, welche zu Gruppen oder Bahnen mit einander vereinigt sind. Das mittlere Brett jeder Gruppe wird von Wagen b getragen und ist beiderseits durch Scharniere mit zwei Klappbrettern verbunden, an denen wiederum je ein Klappbrett scharnierartig befestigt ist. Diese Klappenanreihung wiederholt sich so oft, bis die der gewünschten Plattformausdehnung entsprechende Länge für die betreffende Bretterbahn erreicht ist, deren Seitenklappen während der Nichtbenutzung gegen einander gelegt und in schräger Stellung über dem mittleren Brett gegen einander abgestützt werden können (Fig. 3.)In order to perform ballets in the circus, material underlays have been spread out directly on the sandy floor of the circus track or, in individual cases, wooden floors have been laid on which the dances are performed. Zum Aufbau der Plattform werden nach Aufstellung der mittleren Bahn die nach Fig. 3 zusammengeklappten Bretterbahnen hinter einander von den beiden gegenüber angeordneten Eingängen e aus in die Cirkusbahn aufgefahren, die Bretter werden von einander geklappt und auf Stützen c und die Schranke d der Cirkusbahn aufgelegt, so dafs eine ebene, gegebenenfalls die Schranke d überragende Fläche entsteht. Die dicht an einander geschobenen Bretter je zweier Bretterbahnen können durch geeignete Mittel mit einander verbunden sein, z. B. durch kleine Pflöcke, welche von den je zwei Bahnen gleichzeitig unterstützenden Böcken c in Vertiefungen der Brettunterflächen hineinragen. In dieser Weise ist das Auseinanderlegen der Plattformtheile in wenigen Minuten ausgeführt und ebenso leicht und schnell lassen sich die Theile wieder von einander lösen, und jede in der beschriebenen Weise zusammengelegte Bretterbahn nimmt dann nur einen geringen Raum für ihre Aufbewahrung in Anspruch.To set up the platform, after the middle track has been set up, the board tracks folded according to Fig. 3 are driven one behind the other from the two opposite entrances e into the circus track, the boards are folded from each other and placed on supports c and the barrier d of the circus track. so that a flat surface, possibly protruding beyond the limit d, is created.
