Erfindunggemäß tritt nun dieser heiße, unter Druck stehende Tonbrei durch die mit einer stufenweisen Regelung versehenen Öffnung 6 ins Freie. Durch die Druckabnahme wird ein Teil der in dem Tonbrei enthaltenen Wärmeenergie frei und bewirkt, daß sich die im Brei enthaltenen Wasserteilchen in Dampf verwandeln, der Tonbrei wird schaumig. Dieser schaumige Brei wird nun bei seiner hohen Temperatur in die Form gestrichen und auf einem Förderband im Tunnel 9 vorgetrocknet, wobei erfindungsgemäß 'die Temperatur im Tunnel so hoch liegt, daß die im schaumigen Tonbrei herrschende Dampfspannung nicht absinkt.Dry clay is fed into the mixing vessel 2 through the screw i.
