Einer der gröfsten Uebelstände für werthvolles Pferdematerial sind Sehnenentzündungen. Dieselben entstehen stets durch eine übermäfsige Streckung der Sehnen, namentlich also bei eintretender Ermüdung, infolge grofser Anstrengungen, so hauptsächlich kurz vor dem Rennen bei verschärftem Trainiren, am Ende der Rennen, wo die Pferde ihre letzte Kraft aufbieten müssen, bei langen Jagden und Märschen, überhaupt bei allen Ueberanstrengungen. Diesem Uebelstände ist dadurch ahzuhelfen, dafs man dem Pferde in vorliegend erwähnten Fällen eine Unterstützung in der Weise schafft, dafs die Sehne, wenn sie sich über einen gewissen Grad dehnen will, einen elastischen Gegenhalt findet. Dies wird durch die in beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Vorrichtung erreicht.One of the greatest evils for valuable horse material is tendinitis.
