Das Oelkännchen ist oben mit einer nach innen sich öffnenden Klappe A versehen, welche beim Auffüllen von OeI nach innen gedrückt wird, sich aber beim Nachlassen des Druckes wieder von selbst schliefst.The top of the oil can is provided with an inwardly opening flap A , which is pressed inward when the oil is filled, but which closes by itself when the pressure is released.

Die Kanne ist durch eine Scheidewand B etwa 6 mm über der unteren Bodenfläche in zwei ungleiche Behälter getheilt, welche durch eine an der Scheidewand B nach dem unteren Behälter sich öffnende, dort angebrachte Ventilklappe C, welche durch eine Feder ganz lose gehalten wird, in Verbindung stehen, so dafs beim Füllen der Kanne das OeI vermöge seiner eigenen Schwere von selbst in den unteren Behälter fliefst. Von hier mündet das Ausflufsrohr an der Seite in schiefer Richtung vorn etwas gebogen nach oben, so dafs der Ausflufs am Ende des Rohres etwas höher steht als die Kapne selbst hoch ist. Das Ausfiufsrohr hat am unteren Ende eine Lichtweite von 4 mm und verengt sich bis zum Ausflufs auf 0,5 mm. Der untere Boden liegt in einem Falze und ist elastisch, und zwar so, dafs er sich 3 bis 4 mm auf und nieder bewegen kann, während ihn eine Feder stets nach unten drückt.The jug is divided by a partition B about 6 mm above the bottom surface into two unequal containers, which are connected by a valve flap C which opens on the partition B to the lower container and is held quite loosely by a spring so that when the jug is filled the oil, by virtue of its own weight, flows by itself into the lower container.
