eignen. Ferner kommen die bei der ILohlen-
,casserstofffscntliese nach F i s c h e r-T ro p s c h
anfallenden sauren Nebenprodukte nach ihrer
Amidieruna in Betracht.
Für die Amidbildung sind außer Ammoniak
beispielsweise auch Propvlamin, Diisoainvl-
amin,Octvlamin. Cetvlamin, Peiitadecvlatnin-8,
Laurylamin, Dilaurvlamin, dxaethylamin, Di-

Fatliquor for animal hides and leather It has been found that the amides of ammonia or monoamines and mixtures of fatty acids with a low level of titanium. and at most two carbon atoms, which can also be substituted in the amide group, are extremely suitable for greasing animal hides and leather. The products mentioned can be obtained in a known manner from fatty acids or their derivatives, in particular their acid chlorides or esters. Fatty acid mixtures with at least 4 and at most ii carbon atoms are primarily suitable for their preparation, which is the case when preparing high molecular weight ones. Fatty acids are obtained as lower-boiling components as a result of the oxidation of paraffinic hydrocarbons and so far have not found adequate use. Fatty acids with q. to ii carbon tones are obtained, the amides of which are very good for greasing animal hides and leather suitable. In addition, the
