Dieses Verfahren erleichtert die Reparatur von industriellen Öfen dadurch, daB bei Verwendung derartiger Massen die Metalle unter Wärmeentwiek lung oxydiert werden, wodurch .ein einwandfreies Festhalben der Masse an den zu reparierenden Stellen erzielt wird. Ferner ist es bekannt, Quarzsand; unter Zusatz von Ferrosilicium, das als Mineralisatordient, zu glühen. und den so vorgebrannten Sand der zur Herstellung von Silicasteinen verwendeten Masse zuzusetzen.
