Description
Process for the production of protective coatings, in particular for camouflage and flame protection. When using Sorel cement compounds based on Mg O -i Mg Cl. For painting purposes, there is, inter alia, a great difficulty in getting these compounds thin enough, that is, they can be brushed and sprayed. If the magnesite chloride solution is diluted to the required consistency by adding dilution water, the lye becomes too low a percentage. In the stone wood industry z. B. generally worked with a r7.5ge # vicih, tsprozentigen lye. A red lye, however, is practically ineffective because it no longer sets.
The omission of all filler and colored pigment bodies can only go up to to balance it out to some extent.
But if you take too much normal magnesium chloride lye, the result is of the large 1 '[g CILT excess a strong, the whole process excluding superficial white discoloration.
That is why the proposal has already been made, the Sorel mixture to make it thin by adding indifferent liquids, but what about? simply not cheaper in the non-existent large amount of such, not aqueous liquids fail.
In the upper limit, you can still get good results if you apply the first coat, depending on the substrate, with a weight ratio r = \ IgCl @ anhydrous to R to ro Mg0. when using a 7.5% solution, about 50 to 60 parts of water are used, which still achieves sprayability. if you do not use any fillers and do not use body colors, but instead use high-quality aniline colors for coloring. My studies have shown that this ratio still has an excess of 1Ig Cl.
Dieses Gewichtsverhältnis «-endei auch die Steinholzindustrie an.In most cases it is even harmless to increase the magnesium chloride content for the first time, up to the usual ratio. According to the patent and other literature, this usual ratio is at a weight ratio of r M-CL anhydrous to 1.75 to 3.5 M90 (= 1 mol Mg Cl = to .1 to S 11o1 Mg 0). This weight ratio «- also include the stone wood industry.
It can also be: in the first coat itself except for this weight ratio 1: 1.75 to 3.5 1I-0 can be decreased; for reasons of otherwise excessive discoloration it is advisable not to go down here at 1: 4.
Such a _% nstricli binds quickly and well creased, but shows easily the camouflage relieving2 appearance of the @Veiliver coloring.
It has now been found that if a second coat of paint is very poor in \ 1-C]. is applied, after the first coat has already dried on the surface, but has not yet or even less discolored white (as (-) in summer after 6 to S and in winter after to 24 hours), another interaction through and with your ini first Coating of excess, hygroscopic magnesium chloride chloride occurs, which is just enough to set the second coat of paint and set, but on the other hand does not allow the slightest white discolouration to break out and appear.
But it is also in this paint for the second coat A certain amount of magnesium chloride is still necessary, because its solutions are a lot Have greater solubility for 11g0 than water. However, this solution from M-0 is necessary for the reaction to proceed (easier hydration).
In itself, a weight ratio was often sufficient in the second coat from 1 Mg Cl = to 30: @ 1, -O- A ratio full 1 to 13 to 20, which is in the direction the self-solidification of the second coat has advantages is still weak enough to avoid white discoloration and therefore the most common mixture for the second coat.
Because the first. Paint is solidified in itself and as a reaction base serves, in the case of the second coat, a larger, ruir of the Consistency of necessary water, nothing sergelialt any more. Only through the interaction of both Paints can the (esalnt hIg CI.-Gelialt kept low enough and the solidification otherwise disturbing excess water can be rendered harmless.
If the ground is very absorbent, such as concrete or rough wood, this Method of the strong D-Z-CI.- restriction sometimes a certain dust wear enter from the second coat, the z. B. can be very harmful to engines. This is easily prevented by reducing the mix ratio range in the specified Rahn @ en o # ler, if this only occurs allinälrlich, by overmolding with 11g Cl, solution after a few days or weeks. In itself is the dust binding known about it for a long time; in this case, however, it is much more effective because the 11-0 dust is chemically bound, while a Mg CI = excess of the next hegen is washed off from solidified Sorel paint.
There is no need to provide an example because all of the information is yes are supported by numbers in the description.
