Description

Relieved weld seam Two or more parts are created by welding connected to one another, so arise at the seam ends or corners as a result of the - weld shrinkage excessive tension, which creates the risk of tearing the seam. One has helped to avoid this inconvenience by the fact that the workpieces were annealed after welding. In many cases, however, there is an annealing not accessible, so z. B. then when the weld shrinkage caused by the weld seam shrinkage - The resulting stresses can be used as holding forces. This happens for example with blades welded into the wheel center of gyroscopes.

According to the invention, relief of the weld seam is effected by that the welds through at the seam ends or corners subject to the notch effect partial or complete removal down to below the workpiece surfaces with .a transition that reduces the stress peaks is provided. This degradation takes place expediently with the formation of angles over 9o °. By reducing the existing Shrinkage stresses at the seam ends or corners increases the risk of tearing eliminated, making the weld safer. The breakdown of the welds at the points in question can be dome-like in the simplest way by countersinking or similar recesses.

The drawing shows the type of removal in two exemplary embodiments the weld at the weld ends of in Welded turbine runners Shovels.

As can be seen from the figures, the blades have a uniformly tapering blade roots b, which are in the corresponding, transverse to the direction of rotation arranged slots c inserted and through the welds d with the wheel body f are connected. The sweat is on the -e-. Dangerous weld seams, for example by milling dome-like recesses according to (Fig. i) or in cross-section circular 'rustic grooves i (Fig. 2) removed. The resulting stress reduction is due to the fact that the notch stress at the end of the weld seam is wholly or partially is canceled, whereby the natural shrinkage forces acting on the seam after towards the end of the weld seam to decrease steadily and be reduced to zero can.
