In zahlreichen praktischen
Measuring instrument serving as a zero instrument for compensation measurement
For purposes of the compensation measurement, measuring devices of high sensitivity are required.
With measuring devices with rotating mirrors and telescope or light pointer reading one can do without
further achieve a sufficiently high sensitivity. In numerous practical
Cases, for example for transportable measuring devices, are these rotating mirror measuring devices
therefore not applicable, because they are very sensitive to vibrations and therefore
must be set up taking special precautionary measures. Further
The reading device required generally takes up more space.
The so-called light mark galvanometers brought a significant advantage,
a mirror galvanometer system, usually with a strap suspension, and a light pointer reading device
included together in a moderately large housing; but the sensitivity
against external influences is often still too great.
It is also known to use when reading measuring instruments
material pointer to use optical aids. So it is with photoelectric
Light meters known to read the scale where the scale division comes from
For metrological reasons, is crowded together, by arranging an enlarged
Lens to facilitate. With a view to increasing the accuracy of the reading
However, this device is disadvantageous in that the same pointer that is used for reading
in the largest part of the scale 'is used and for this purpose a certain minimum strength
must have, in order not to make reading difficult, in the other part of the scale
is enlarged at the same time with this in the same scale, so that here the pointer
seems too strong for division. With less sensitive measuring instruments such as
z. B. Scales, it is known to have a magnifying device in the form of the pointer
to attach a concave mirror, in the opening of which a virtual image of the respective
Scale section and the pointer is viewed. With finer measuring instruments
Naturally, a load on the pointer and the measuring system due to auxiliary equipment is separated,
which serve to illuminate the scale or to map the pointer position.
Finally, with measuring instruments it is also known to read the setting
of the pointer over the relevant
Scale section not immediately
instead, an image of this scale section on a ground glass screen along with it
Project pointer with some magnification. This known device is permitted
but to take the reading only on this single scale, not the reading on the other hand
for the larger part of the measuring range on a main scale and at the same time with substantial
greater accuracy for a certain part of the measuring range on a second
Scale, as it is especially in the case of zero instruments for compensation measurement in the
- \ 'null area is required. In order to achieve this, one made use of so far
special measuring systems with the possibility of switching over to different sensitivity ranges.
In order to avoid these deficiencies, the invention is based on a
Zero instrument for compensation measurement serving measuring instrument with material
Pointer from and consists in the fact that near the main scale a second, fixed
Scale and a fixed projection device are provided through which
to increase the accuracy of the reading in the measuring range of the zero position of the
The pointer sweeping over the main scale increases the respective position of this pointer
is mapped on the second scale, so that the enlarged image of the pointer or
its extension consisting of a thin glass thread at the same time as the pointer is positioned
can be read parallax-free even in this measuring range. Such a thing
Measuring instrument has the advantage that the deflection of the measuring instrument in a handy instrument
without switching in the vicinity of the 'zero range at two different one above the other
Scales can be observed simultaneously and the sensitivity of the display
the. while on one scale is significantly greater than the sensitivity on the other
at the same time the parallax freedom of the reading on the more sensitive scale
Makes reading even more accurate.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the figure on a
Pointer galvanimeter shown and will be described in more detail below. A
small moving coil pointer galvanometer i, as it is e.g. B. used for light meters
is provided with a pointer z. The pointer plays 3 in front of a scale
Pointer is a thin glass thread .a. cemented to be a few hundredths of a millimeter thick.
This is illuminated by a lamp 5 via a totally reflective prism 6
and its image is enlarged about 5 times through an objective 7 via a mirror 8
formed on a 9 al scale. The scale 9 is applied to a ground glass,
which contains a further division and in the same plane as the scale 3 in such a way
arranged so that you can see the pointer deflection on both scales at the same time
can. The reading of the deflection on the scale g is completely parallax-free.
The whole device is installed in a box io, which is indicated by dashed lines.
Both scales can be observed through two insights i i and 12. The lamp
5 and the prism C are placed in a small box structure 13.
