Die Trage besteht aus dem Untertheil A und dem wiegenartigen Obertheil B. The stretcher consists of the lower part A and the cradle-like upper part B.

Bolzen r und Schnepper s greifen in die Löcher einer in Schlitz u geführten Stellstange ν ein. Die Federung liegt zum Theil in den Federn o, welche die Schaukel halten, zum Theil in der Gesammtconstruction, wie Spannung des Tuches und Elastizität der langen Tragschenkel sowohl am Unter- wie am Obertheil. Dies alles bewirkt eine genügende Brechung des Stofses, welcher durch das Auftreten der Träger entsteht. Zum Herauflegen der Verwundeten auf die Trage genügen unter allen Umständen zwei Mann und geht das, ohne dem Verwundeten Schmerzen zu verursachen, vor sich. Es wird hierbei die Schaukel B aus dem Lager herausgenommen.
