Description
Method for determining the surface tension of stressed components, which are particularly under static load The previous methods for determining the surface tension of stressed components have the defect that the tension cannot be determined for a static load. This supernatant is made by the process fixed according to the invention.
The inventive method is based on the phenomenon that the Surface waves of the loaded body are dependent on the state of stress, under which he stands. As shown in the figure, a tube generator produces a Generates alternating voltage adjustable in frequency, which is in the load cell c is converted into mechanical vibrations. This can be known, for example Kind of done, as shown, by an electromagnet and a membrane. the mechanical vibrations are applied to the body to be examined d on the surface by a contact member, e.g. B. by a contact tip attached to the membrane, pressed on and give rise to surface waves on the body d. The surface waves but prefer a certain frequency depending on the state of tension in the body (Natural frequency of the surface waves). If the tube generator is therefore set so that that the frequency of the alternating voltage with the preferred frequency of the surface waves of the stressed body coincides, there is resonance, and the energy consumption of the tube generator experiences a steep rise. This is shown by the power indicator (Ammeter) b. From knowing the modulus of elasticity of the body and the The state of stress on the surface can be clearly identified from the resonance frequency found determine. The scale of the tube generator can be recorded by calibration. Further advantages of the method consist in the possibility that the measuring location and the measuring point can be spatially separated.
