Description

The invention relates to a method for producing light-sensitive mosaic screens, which are known to consist of a metal base plate (signal plate) on which individual separate isolation islands are applied, which in turn form the mosaic elements wear so that the scanning cathode ray between two elements can hit the signal plate. Such mosaic electrodes have been produced so far that during the application of the layers on the signal plate an auxiliary grid was placed on top. After finishing the layers the auxiliary grid was removed. However, this manufacturing process has the disadvantage that it does not provide such small mosaic elements as would actually be desirable, and furthermore, the procedure is relatively cumbersome.

It is also known to make mosaic electrodes with a coherent insulating substrate manufacture that a coating of metal or a metal compound is applied to this insulating plate and then the whole thing is heated until the metal layer is torn into individual particles. At this After the heat treatment, the insulating plate was completely retained as such.

Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren zur Herstellung lichtempfindlicher Mosaikschirme, die aus einer metallischen Signalplatte, beipielsweise aus Aluminium, einer Oxydschicht, beispielsweise aus dem Metalloxyd der Signalplatte, und einer darauf aufgebrachten, späterIn the method according to the invention for producing photosensitive mosaic screens, made of a metallic signal plate, for example made of aluminum, an oxide layer, for example from the metal oxide of the signal plate, and one applied to it later

Hierbei wurde die überraschende Feststellung gemacht, daß die Isolierunterlage und die darauf befindliche Metallschicht an den gleichen Stellento be activated silver layer exist, which are isolated from each other by heat Elements is torn open, however, becomes the Warming process so far that aueli the insulating layer in louder from each other ripping open separate elements. The surprising finding was made that the insulating pad and the metal layer on it in the same places

Fig. Ι shows on an enlarged scale a mosaic screen according to the invention and Fig. 2 is a cross-section through part of it on a still further enlarged scale. The mosaic screen according to the pictures, has a senior! Base 1 made of aluminum. On the surface this plate is a designated 2 electrolytically generated oxide skin.

The film so produced is generally of uniform thickness, and this thickness can be easily controlled. For the purpose of the invention, however, it may be useful under certain circumstances to produce a film of locally different thickness. The aluminum oxide layer is covered with silver, as shown at 3, e.g. B. by spraying or spraying. Thereafter, the aluminum plate is heated together with the coating thereon to a temperature in the size array of 400 0 C. This gives rise to a network of cracks 4 in the aluminum oxide skin, so that a large number of separate island-like elements 5 arises, the diameters in size order of 1 x 10- 2 mm vein 5 "io 2 have mm. Finally, the silver coating is applied to the elements e.g. B. activated with cesium.

A screen designed according to the invention has between the mosaic elements metallic conductor, so that a desired way between these elements controllable potential is present. The result is a more even field distribution than with the usual mosaic electrodes with silver balls on a mica background.
