Description
B. 2%ige jodwasserstoffsäure und ferner i i-o;oige Chlorwassers to 6-ffsäure als Behandlungsbad vorgeschlagen :D worden. Treatment bath for the production of colored images from evenly colored photographic silver images by local destruction of the dye At the silver spots it is known to produce colored photographic images from uniformly to produce colored silver images by local destruction of the dye, by treating the silver pictures with a bath; that the dye on the silver spots destroyed. Among other things, for this purpose z. B. 2% hydroiodic acid and furthermore i-o; oige hydrochloric acid to 6-fatty acid proposed as a treatment bath: D been. Although these baths are used to produce colored images according to the method mentioned are quite suitable, according to the invention for the gentler treatment of the photographic Layer and the apparatus and to avoid the expensive hydriodic acid such acidic baths are used, which have a high content of chlorides and besides one in relation to: the equivalent weights contain a smaller amount of acid, mostly only makes up a fraction of the amount of acid in known baths.
In an aqueous solution which, with regard to sodium chloride, 2oo; oig and with regard to the hydrochloric acid also added 3,6ofoii; is around 3.3 Equivalents of sodium chloride, but only i equivalent of hydrochloric acid. The salary of sodium chloride, expressed in equivalents, is therefore in considerable excess to the hydrochloric acid content, also expressed in equivalents.
For the production. the solutions are suitable e.g. B. sodium chloride, ammonium chloride, Calcium chloride or magnesium chloride. The solutions contain the salts in abundance from about 5% up to the limit of solubility and also, for example, 3 to [0; ö Hydrochloric acid. However, much smaller amounts can also be used of acid already achieve effective bleach baths, and of course larger amounts of acid can also be used; however, it is precisely the shared use of Salting increases the amount of acid unnecessarily.
The effect of the new baths can be enhanced by the addition of organic, as Substances that act as catalysts can be significantly increased or accelerated. Substances such as 2,3-diaminophenazine, 2-oxy-3-aminophenazine, 2,3-dimethylquinoxaline or Anthraquinone-ß-sulfonic acid.
These baths are suitable for treating silver images that are colored with the dyes customary for this purpose.
The effect of the new bathrooms can be shown particularly clearly, if you let them act on dyes that are difficult to bleach.
The following comparative tests with the Congo blue suitable for this purpose clearly show the effects.
With Congo blue (S chu 1 z, dye tables, 7th edition, N r 513, respectively.) Stained, a silver image containing layers were treated with a test duration of always 3o minutes and at a bath temperature of i8 'C with folgeliden baths: 1. 200` oige aqueous sodium chloride solution, 2. 2oof'oige aqueous ammonium chloride solution, -3. 20% aqueous calcium chloride solution, 20% aqueous magnesium chloride solution, 5. 3.60% aqueous hydrochloric acid, 6. V aqueous solution of 20% sodium chloride and 3.6% hydrochloric acid, 7. aqueous solution of 20% ammonium chloride and 3.60% Hydrochloric acid, g. Aqueous solution of 2oojo calcium chloride and 3.60% hydrochloric acid, 9. Aqueous solution of 20% magnesium chloride and 3.60% hydrochloric acid. While Examples 1 to 6, in which the baths contain partly chlorides alone, partly hydrochloric acid of low concentration alone, show no effect on the dye, the inventive baths of Examples 6 to 9 produce dye images which, however, only become pure after prolonged exposure to the baths Exhibit whites.
Man sättigt z. If the baths used in Examples 6 to 9 are used as catalysts to, pure whiteness is achieved after only 30 minutes of exposure. One saturates z. B. the solutions with 2,3-diaminophenazine, 2-oxy-3-aminophenazine, 2,3-diniethylquinoxaline or anthraquinone-sulfonic acid.
