Gleichungen beschrieben
K SiF, + 2 CaC03 = 2 CaF, + Sio2
CO2 + 2 KF
2
2 KF + 2 C02 -f- Ca (0H)2 = CaF2 + 2 KAC03 (2)
3CaF=+SiO,+4HC1+2KCl=K2SiFc,+3CaC12+2H20 (3)
abgesehen.Process for the production of alkali carbonates via alkali complex fluorides The production of caustic alkalis or alkali carbonates with the aid of alkali silicofluorides or other complex fluorides and alkaline earth carbonates under the guidance of fluorine in a circle has already been discussed in publications, without any such process, however, having found its way into technology . The process stages., After which z. B. the production of potassium carbonate would be possible, are described by the following equations K SiF, + 2 CaCO3 = 2 CaF, + Sio2 CO2 + 2 KF
2
2 KF + 2 C02 -f- Ca (0H) 2 = CaF2 + 2 KAC03 (2)
3CaF = + SiO, + 4HC1 + 2KCl = K2SiFc, + 3CaC12 + 2H20 (3)
The reaction of alkali silicofluoride with 3 moles of calcium carbionate to obtain alkali carbonate is also possible and has also already been proposed. However, apparently because the difficulties could not be overcome, they were considered uneconomical and their technical use was accordingly abandoned.
Thorough investigations have now shown "that the implementation
from r: Mo1 Alkalisidicofluorid with 3 molen Erdalkalica.rbonat very well a technical one
Makes sense and also under consideration of special conditions that are the subject of this
Invention - form that is economically feasible.
in solcher Konzentration durchgeführt,
daß man eine gesättigte oder
nahezu gesättigte Bicarbonatlösung erhält. Erwärmung begünstigt die Umsetzung. The implementation on which the invention is based is illustrated by the following gross reaction scheme, for example: K2 SiF "+ 3 CaCO3 -E- H20 = 3 CaF2 -f- 2 KHCO3 + SiO., 1- CO, (4) 3 Ca F, + Si OZ - [- 4 H Cl -i- 2 K Cl = K, Si F, + 3 Ca C12 +.2 2 H., 0 By] a carbonic acid formed according to equation (4), bicarbonate is formed in this case, which is of course under The reaction according to equation (4) is advantageously carried out in such a concentration that a saturated or almost saturated bicarbonate solution is obtained.
The implementation according to equation (@.) Lost relatively slowly and with unsatisfactory Aiis.htute, since undesirable side reactions occur. All these difficulties, however, can be circumvented in one fell swoop if the reaction is carried out in two steps and the silicofluoride In according to equation K .., Si F ,; -f- 2 Ca CO, -2 Ca F, - @ - Si 0., + 2 C 02 -I- 2 XF can initially react with only 2 moles of carbonate. When this reaction has taken place, a 3rd mole of calcium carbonate is added to the reaction mixture, which, together with the potassium fluoride formed, gives potassium carbonate according to equation 2 KF -f- CaCO; = hZCO.ä -f- CaF. =. (6) This measure is carried out according to the invention without switching on a filtration between the two conversion stages. In this way it is achieved that the overall conversion takes place with a good degree of efficiency, in contrast to the reaction taking place in one stage according to equation (.4). Compared to the reaction, which takes place in two individual steps, initially with 2, then with 1 mol of calcium carbonate, the invention has the great advantage that a filtration process is spared, which not only requires additional equipment, but also as a result of the gelatinous. or sandy, fine-grained nature of the residue is not pleasant even with the most favorable behavior of the precipitation and necessarily results in a loss of alkali or fluoride, since. the leaching is only incompletely possible in an economical way.
The regeneration of the calcium fluoride takes place on the basis of the equation
(5) specified ways. Surprisingly, it has been shown that the silica
practically does not go into solution in the reactions used according to the invention,
which is of great importance for the purity of the end products, and that in the case of pause
the measures provided according to the invention have an extremely good filtering effect
Calcium fluoride and silicic acid precipitate.
