The innovation concerns a cover for the pit of the forme cylinder of gravure printing machines.

Forme cylinders of gravure printing machines usually exist out of one piece. The printing form is engraved or etched into the surface of the forme cylinder. This training is relatively complex. That is why flexible printing plates have already been clamped onto forme cylinders.
