in particular also sulfonation products of higher aliphatic alcohols with more

The sulfonation product of the alcohol mixture is suitable for carrying out the process and is easily accessible from a technical point of view. This alcohol mixture consists mainly of the normal primary aliphatic saturated alcohols with 6, 8 and 10 # carbon atoms. This sulfonation product and its salts are liquid and oily in nature. They therefore exert a certain lubricating effect on the nozzles and also ensure that the spinning acid does not adhere to the fresh, spun and wound thread and thus no drops are torn up with it during spinning.
The process can be carried out, for example, as follows Normally ripened, 5% strength viscose is spun in the usual way in a spinning bath containing 12% sulfuric acid and 360% Glauber's salt (Müller bath). The viscose is given an addition of 25 to 50 cc of sodium salt per liter of the above-mentioned sulfonation product from low-boiling fractions of coconut fatty alcohol (330 ° fatty alcohol content). In contrast to the product of the usual spinning process, the viscose artificial silk thread emerging from the spinning bath is not matt but glossy and can easily be completely freed from the spinning acid by rinsing it off. If desired, an avivage with one of the known agents, e.g. B. with a mixture of fatty alcohol and Fettalkoh.olstilfonat are given.
