Description

Vulcanizable rubber compounds with elastic glycerine esters It is known that the Glyeerinestex higher paraffin or olefin dicarboxylic acids, their derivatives and hemologists elastic represent factual products that together with rubber carbon fibers Can be processed well and homogeneous volcano yieldable mixtures. It has now been found that the esters made of glycerine and higher paraffin or Oleßudi: carbon acids and their derivatives: significantly better emollient property in natural and especially artificial natural rubber and other types of rubber towards masses show if in their manufacture such higher molecular weight eimbas @sch Carboxylic acids are also used, which in Form of their alkali alcaline soap-like peculiarities show properties. Such acids are in first and foremost the higher molecular fatty acids, especially those of an unsaturated nature, such as oleic acid and ricinoleic acid, and also di- isobutylcresoxyacetic acid, perhydrophenyl naphthylinetbancarboxylic acid, cholic acid, abie- tinic and naphthenic acids. The manufac- development of such mixed condensation, products can be made in such a way that one the -paraffin or olefin dicarboxylic acid at the same time with the monocarboxylic acid and the Glycerin condensed. However, it is also It is common to first use the polybasic Acid with the glycerine, esterified and as- then the monocarboxy on top of that still condensate containing free hydroxyl groups sation product, allowed to act or returns. The ratios for monocarboxylic acid, dicarboxylic acid and glycerine can be used here. fluctuate within wide limits.

The with the use of higher molecular weight monocarboxylic acids herges4rt =. th condensation products from glycerol and aliphatic dicarboxylic acids Saturated or unsaturated nature stand out over those already used for mixtures with natural. or synthetic rubber or gutta.-percha are suggested Glycerol esters in that they have very good plasticizing properties.

Example 146 parts by weight of adipic acid, 92 parts by weight of glycerol and 141 weight points of oleic acid are heated at 200 to 220 ° until one tough, elastic mass is formed, which is the case after about 5 to 6 hours. This condensation product can be synthetic. Rubber up to 20% of his Mix in weight easily on the mixing roller and after adding "the usual." Additives during vulcanization hour at r32 °) an excellent resistance and tough product.
