Description
Device for pulling endless glass threads V For some time now, efforts have been made to utilize the glass fiber (glass wool) and yarns and fabrics made from it, not only for insulation and other industrial purposes, but also for textile purposes To make processing usable. For a number of branches of industry, the fiberglass in its previous nature is therefore not ver # veiidtin-s'jähi--. because the required fineness of the fibers is not available. The present invention is intended to remedy this deficiency and to provide the fine thread which can be processed into textiles in a satisfactory amount. It is not enough that the glass mass in the melting furnace is kept liquid to the highest degree or that the glass drops emerging from the nozzles are heated again and the latter protected from cooling, thereby achieving a somewhat increased but still insufficient fineness. All of these devices and processes are insufficient to satisfy the demands placed on the glass fibers. any undressing of the nozzle plate yarn requires As far back with Be-inn the spinning process a special after-treatment which affects check by the present invention ZD I as follows. The hot air 8 continuously generated in the melting furnace i is made usable for the spinning process. The glass tropics emerging from the nozzle plate 2 I through the openings , with the threads 4 following them, are conducted in groups through the spaces 6 of a pipe network 5 . The pipe network 5 is installed in the pull-out space 7 and receives the hot air 8 coming to the Schinelzofen i by means of a discharge pipe 9 with a throttle valve io. The hot air 8 located in the pipe network 5 moves through numerous holes i i from the pipes of the pipe network 5 upwards and distributes the outflowing heat # leicbmäßi- in the Ausziehraum 7 and C on each auszuziehenden thread, so that the total yarns 4 to The highest possible amount of analogue and thus the C e fine glass fibers can be created. Since the hot air 8 which is drawn upwards has a higher temperature, the threads 4 are heated more strongly at the top and somewhat more gently at the bottom. So that the hot air 8 cannot escape, an adjustable and transparent slide 12 is used on the front of the pull-out space 7 , with which the temperature can be regulated by setting the throttle valve accordingly and also with adverse external influences can be kept from the glass threads.
