Anordnungen vermeidet.Cable connection subject to tensile and bending stress for portable
Smaller devices The invention relates to a cable connection, which is particularly suitable for
portable smaller devices, e.g. B. Household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers,
Washing machines and the like., Is suitable. The cable connections previously used in such cases
often have the disadvantage that the connection points on the one hand do not have enough water
or are airtight and that, on the other hand, the cable at the connection point; as a result
which breaks through tensile and bending loads after a relatively short period of operation.
Cable breaks of this type are particularly uncomfortable - # yenl for replacement
of the cable the device has to be dismantled and reassembled.
In addition, the cable connection must also be designed so that even with strong
Tensile stress the cable does not slip out of the device and from the soldered joints
rips off. So far, it has often been enough to leave the cable behind the feed-through hole
to provide with a thickening, which must be made very thick in order to with some
Safety to prevent the cable from slipping out. But this version has
the disadvantage that the cable at the lead-through hole in a laterally exercised
Train is subject to very strong bends and kinks and therefore very soon to
Break goes. It has also been suggested that an Art
Provide stuffing box through which the thickening point is strongly compressed
will. This design has the disadvantage that it is very expensive
and is completely unsuitable for cable connections to sheet metal housings of household appliances.
In addition, there are also strong kinks in the cable at the connection point.
In the following now a training .des cable connection is shown that the above
specified requirements are met in full and the disadvantages of the previously known
Avoids arrangements.
According to the invention, the cable subjected to tension and bending is connected
designed for portable small devices in such a way that using
one inserted at the feed-through point through the housing of the device, one
Drill hole for the cable-owning plug made of elastic, non-conductive material,
z. B. rubber, the cable to secure against pulling out on the opposite of the pulling action
Side provided with a thickening and between this thickening and the elastic

an expediently made of insulating material b; standing disc
is placed on the cable, the outside diameter of which is at least as great again
Diameter of the feedthrough locic is. An axis formed in this combined way
Cable connection has the property: that it is completely inside at the point of entry
is tight, the seal only by a pull exerted on the cable
gets better, and that the cable is also perfectly resistant to tensile stresses
is protected. Furthermore, the advantage is achieved that the cable at the lead-through point
cannot break so easily because it is here due to the resilience of the plug
can only be bent in a relatively large radius. If an in
cable connection formed in this way exerts a tensile effect on the cable,
the only consequence of this is that between the insulating washer and the bushing wall
located part of the elastic plug pressed apart somewhat in the lateral direction
is and consequently anchored even more firmly in the lead-through hole. A
Pulling out the cable is practically impossible with such a cable connection.
It was already known for permanently installed cable bushings
a plug made of elastic, non-conductive material at the feed-through point,
in particular rubber, but this was only done for the purpose of
in order to achieve a watertight seal of the lead-through point at this point.
Such a training is i edoch as a cable connection for portable smaller ones
For the reasons given above, devices cannot be used in any way.

is. If now a tensile effect is exerted on the cable jacket in the direction of arrow 8
is, so is from the thickening 6 on the disc; and thus on the inside
of the housing lying part of the plug 4 exerted a pressure. which causes
this part of the plug is even more firmly attached to the inside of the housing wall i
creates, thickens in the process and thus reliably prevents the line 2 from being pulled out.
Rather, a pulling action exerted on the line still achieves success,
that the airtight seal of the implementation point caused by the elastic plug .4
gets even better. Furthermore, the line 2 can be bent back and forth without
too sharp a curvature at the bending point, which prematurely
to a breaking of the cable: at this point leads.
If necessary, the arrangement can also be made so that the
elastic plug at the exit point of the cable bz «-. of the pulled over
Hose piece cs is rounded in a known manner, so that the cable at
lateral bends are not subjected to any sharp kinking at this point.
In this way, the advantage is achieved in particular that when pulling effects are exerted
across the lead-through direction of the cable through the housing wall the line to the
Insertion point only in an arc with a relatively larger radius
can be curved. This beneficial effect of the insertion point is made possible by
the c hose section pulled onto the line is still supported, as shown in the in
The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 is readily apparent.
