Description
Heating device for fuel oil bunkers in ships The subject of the invention is a device to improve the efficiency and thereby conditionally for Reduction of the heating-up time of the heating device for heating oil bunkers in ships and Tank steamers.
In larger ship bunkers or in the holds of tank steamers with several sub-compartments, which are divided into further smaller compartments of this height by longitudinal bands from about 200 to 300 mm in height, the heating oil must pass through the small openings on the outer skin in the transverse and longitudinal frames and the longitudinal ligaments flow to the suction tube. At a water temperature of about o 'C and viscous oil, this inflow takes place only when the oil is heated so by that also the oil to 5o mm located at a distance of about 3o from the outer skin is still sufficiently warm. This cannot be achieved with today's heating devices because the heating coils are laid above the longitudinal strips and transverse ribs, i.e. at a distance of 200 to 300 mm from the outer skin. Since the heating effect of the pipes only extends down to about 100 mm, the oil layer with a thickness of 50 to 75 mm on the outer skin is not heated at all with thick heating oil and therefore does not flow through the 40 to 75 mm height located openings in the longitudinal and transverse ribs.
Furthermore, with the known arrangement of the heating pipes as endless snakes in straight lengths and in an approximately parallel position to the water line, the condensate remains partially in the pipes depending on the inclination of the ship and can only be achieved by a strong steam stream that is pushed through the entire length of the pipe coil will be removed more or less smoothly. Furthermore, such a steam flow is not present in the suction line when using condensate drains. The condensate remaining in the pipes takes on the temperature of the oil to be heated, and the surface wetted by the condensate is used as a heating surface.
These disadvantages are intended to be eliminated by the invention. To this Purposes are the consistently lengthways laid steam pipes with the number of on provide crankings corresponding to the length of the floor and outer frames, in such a way that one leg of the crank always goes in the same direction of the steam flow, i.e. in the direction of the pressure drop, except for a ring Distance from the bunker floor or from 'e t' of the outer skin falls away and with the higher lying one End passed over the floor reinforcements and through the full transverse ribs is, while the other leg, the two inclined legs with each other connects, is arranged approximately perpendicular. For leading the pipes through the full transverse ribs usually serve the openings in these anyway.
This way of laying the heating pipes is a downward path the same up to 50 minutes, and less to the outer skin of the ship and the flow points achieved in the longitudinal and transverse ribs without these being particularly broken have to. The vertical pipe lengths can be extended to several according to the steam pressure Meters up without condensation in the inclined pipes accumulates. The latter collects almost exclusively in the vertical pipe lengths and is removed from the pipes by the steam pressure. In the remaining pipe lengths there is only steam. As a result, sufficient heating will also make it viscous Heating oil reached in the vicinity of the flow openings of the longitudinal and transverse ribs, so that the individual subdivisions are emptied up to the suction preheater.
With this arrangement, the angular position of the ship in the longitudinal and transverse direction no longer has any influence on the accumulation of condensate in the heating pipes, since with the new arrangement only steam is present in the inclined pipe lengths in all positions of the ship and only in the vertical ones Condensate forms in the pipelines. The inclination of the sloping, extending in the longitudinal direction of the ship pipe length is always greater than the 'largest incoming pitch of the ship.
A further embodiment of the invention is that the to the lower ends of the vertical pipe legs or pipe lengths or at least falling off the length parts immediately adjoining these ends in one or more Windings run in order to enlarge the heating surface.
The drawing shows schematically three exemplary embodiments of the invention System for shallow ships.

Figs. -T, 5 and 6 show an embodiment in the same representations with parallel heating pipes, the ends of which run through transverse distribution and headers are connected to each other.
Fig. 7 zeigt die Rohrkröpfungen -in größerem Maßstabe, und Fig. 8 zeigt ein Beispiel mit Rohrwindungen.FIG. 7 shows the pipe bends on a larger scale, and FIG. 8 shows an example with pipe coils.
The heating pipes a, to which the steam is supplied at f , are, as can be seen in FIGS. 1, -1 and 7, cranked at the points where they meet the low floor ribs b and the full transverse ribs c. The one (:, leg d of the crankings slopes diagonally in the direction of the steam flow to almost the bottom of the bunker compartments. Its higher end is passed over the floor bulkhead b and, if it has to penetrate a full transverse bulkhead c, is t ' so laid high that it can be guided by the usual in the transverse frames openings. the other leg e, the two k 'Schenkel d interconnects, is approximately vertical. in this leg gathers, as shown in Fig. indicated 7, the condensate , which is removed by steam pressure The steam inlet is marked with f and the condensate outlet with g.
As FIG. 8 shows, the two vertical pipe legs e can be connected to one another connecting pipe lengths run in one or more turns h. These turns can also be applied directly to the lower ends of the vertical pipe legs bordering pipe length parts be limited.
