Description
Herstellung wasserstoffreicher Gasgemische durch Teilverbrennung von Methan mit Sauerstoff Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung wasserstoffreicher Gasgemische aus methanhaltigen Gasen durch Teilverbrennung des Methans mit Sauerstoff in einem Bett von glühendem Koks beschrieben. Zur Regelung der Temperatur und Ausdehnung der Brennzöine wurde dabei in an sieh bekannter Weise dem eingeblasenen Sauerstoff Wasserdampf zugesetzt. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Verbesserung dieser Arbeitsweise. Erfindungsgemäß werden dem Sauerstoff bei oder vor seiner Einführung in den Ofen Gase beigemischt, deren Reaktionsprodukte mit dem Sauerstoff bzw. dem glühenden Koks keine Verunreinigung des erzeugten wasserstoffreichen Gasgemisches bedingen.
