Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wellenkupplung, insbesondere für die Übertragung großer Drehmomente. Für derartige Kupplungen hat man bisher die Wellenenden mit je einer S Verzahnung versehen, deren Zähne beim Gegeneinander drücken der beiden Wellenenden ineinandergreifen, und so das Drehmoment von der einen Welle auf die andere übertragen. Diese Zahnkupplungen weisen jedoch eine Reihe von Nachteilen auf, die ihre Anwendung in vielen Fällen als ungeeignet erscheinen lassen. Um eine einwandfreie Übertragung des gesamten Drehmoments zu erreichen, muß dieses gleichmäßig auf sämtliche Zähne aufgeteilt werden. Das bedingt eine sehr genaue Herstellung der Verzahnungen, die schwierig und vor allem auch teuer ist. Dazu kommt, daß die Verzahnungen an den scharfen Innenkanten der Zähne wegen der hohen Kerbwirkung außerordentlich empfindlich sind, so daß sie für die Übertragung großer Drehmomente, wie sie beispielsweise bei großen Brennkraftmaschinen auftreten, keine genügende Sicherheit bieten.The invention relates to a shaft coupling, in particular for the transmission of large Torques.
