Der auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Apparat, welcher zur Aufnahme des Gewindeschneidwerkzeuges dient, ist mit einer Vorrichtung versehen, die, wenn ein gröfserer Widerstand gegen die Drehung vorhanden ist, das Stillstehen des Schneidwerkzeuges gestattet, so dafs das Abbrechen desselben verhütet wird. Die mit der Bohrerspindel s verbundene Büchse b ist nä'mlich drehbar mit der Spindel g, welche an der Bohrmaschine angebracht wird, verbunden. Diese Spindel g ist mit der Scheibe c mit Rand, c1 versehen und wird durch die Muttergewindebüchse m, die mit ihrem Rand ml über den Rand b1 der Büchse b greift, so verbunden, dafs sie sich unabhängig von der Büchse b drehen kann. Der ebenfalls mit Muttergewinde versehene Ring r dient als Gegenmutter. Unterhalb der Scheibe c, die mit einem besonderen Ring e versehen sein kann, ist der mit einem entsprechenden Rand versehene Ring d drehbar angebracht. Ist jedoch ein zu grofser Widerstand vorhanden, so bleibt die Büchse b stehen, und die Spindel rotirt allein weiter. Um die Reibung zu vergröfsern oder zu verringern, können die Federn durch Drehung der Gewindebüchse angezogen oder nachgelassen werden. Damit das Schneidwerkzeug auch einem gröfseren Druck oder Zug nachgiebt, wurden die Federn ρ in die Büchse b eingelegt; dieselben stützen sich gegen den Zapfen %, der an der Spindel s angebracht ist, wodurch diese in einer bestimmten Stellung gehalten wird, sich aber bei einem zu grofsen Druck oder Zug auf- oder abschieben kann.The springs / thus press on the one hand against the bushing b and on the other hand against the disk c and, when the spindle rotates, cause such a friction between the ring d and the disk that the bushing b and the cutting tool are carried along.
