Kolbens geöffnetem Bei hochverdichtenden Querschnitt gelagert Brennkraftmaschi-
Pistons for Kiaft- and work machines The invention relates to a piston for power and work bikes with a piston head attached and centrally fastened to the piston body, in which the sealing ring closest to the combustion chamber encompasses the piston head like a cuff at a distance and by means of an inwardly guided bend an auxiliary ring with a U-shaped, open after the sliding surface of the piston with high compression cross-section mounted internal combustion engine. High temperatures of the piston crown are desirable to avoid carbon build-up, while the sealing rings are kept as cool as possible. have to. There have therefore been proposed pistons with an attached piston head, in which the cylinder space . the closest sealing ring is designed with a jacket -shaped extension - and with a large - "sliding surface" touches the wall of the fluted cylinder. This sealing ring engages with a bend in a Nüt -ein, which . is formed by an auxiliary ring attached to the piston body and the edge of the piston head. However, this type of construction has the disadvantage that the seating surface of the sealing ring fitted with play is in the range of high temperatures. The temperature gradient between the piston crown. and the cylinder wall is formed, can - at - this point temperatures occur, 'which are for dine flawless Schmlerung too high because they' Oelk-ohlebildung can cause *. On the other hand, the temperatures prevailing there are too low, and oil coal formed is too low to burn. This calls into question the mobility of the sealing rings and their proper heat dissipation.
T he 'invention avoids these disadvantages in' that the auxiliary ring zwisclien piston body and a narrow - eiiigespannt is close to the edge of the piston ä.ußeren "nboden.s arranged seat surface, so that between the piston head -and- piston body, a cavity. arises, which after inward from - is limited to the central connection of the Kolbenboden's- with the piston body and by -outside-of Üem Hilfsrihg.
Erfindung
zur Verwendung bei Brennkraftmaschinen dargestellt. In
Abb.
In the drawing, two embodiments of the piston according to the invention for use in internal combustion engines are shown. Fig. I shows a simple auxiliary ring with a U-shaped cross-section and Fig. 2 shows an auxiliary ring with a sliding sleeve.
in Berührung steht.
io an eordnet.
The piston base 2 is placed on the piston body i and is only in direct thermal contact with the piston body i via a central connection. The piston head 2, which is arranged in the manner of a mushroom on the piston body, assumes a high temperature during operation, because the heat can mainly flow away only via a relatively small contact surface to the piston body i. As a result, lubricating oil and oil carbon produced by the conversion of the lubricating oil cannot exist in contact with the piston crown 2, but burn. A closed auxiliary ring 3 with a non-isosceles, U-shaped cross-section is arranged between the edges of the piston body i and the piston head 2. This ring sits with its large leg 4 in a corresponding indentation on the edge of the piston body i and - is supported against the piston head 2 in a sealing and heat-conducting manner only along a narrow seat surface 5. With its small leg 6 , the auxiliary ring 3 engages from the inside over the bend 7 of a sealing ring 8, the collar-shaped approach of which includes the piston head 2 with intermediate space 9. In such an arrangement, this sealing ring 8 , which is closest to the combustion chamber, touches the cooled cylinder with a large sliding surface and consequently never assumes temperatures which, because of their height, impair the lubricity of the oil adhering to it and could cause the oil to convert .-.* Of the. Auxiliary ring 3, which is expediently made of particularly resistant building material, only touches the hot piston head 2 along a small area, over which a pathway cannot occur. Abstätzung to the slotted di (21itungsringes 8 is in the cavity between - the bent portion this- ring ylinderwandung and the auxiliary ring 3 is formed "a gleidlifalls slotted Dichtungsri, ng io to eordnet -The slots of the two q # 8 and 9 rings. '-io are gegeneinander..versetzt in a known manner to obtain from the combustion chamber by proper sealing of the rings. between the sheath of the sealing ring 8 and the edge of the piston crown 2, which are separated by a gap, formed during operation, a There is a considerable difference in temperature, and oil carbon formation is not possible on any of the individual parts described because the temperatures prevailing there are either too high or too low, so that the clearance and the necessary heat dissipation of the two clearing rings are guaranteed at all times.
i noch weitere Kolbenringe i i zur Wärineableitung und Abdichtung angeordnet.
Kolbenkörpers i umfaßt.
The Rin93 can be formed as a pure support ring in such a way that it for the combustion chamber closest seal Stinge 8 and io against a2 carrier - the piston body i and the piston head 2 is positioned without slipping on the Zylixiderwandung. In this case, additional piston rings ii are arranged on the piston body i for heat dissipation and sealing. But it is also possible to use the long leg. of the U-shaped auxiliary ring 3 to be designed as a sliding sleeve 12, which includes a part of the piston body i with a space in between. This sliding sleeve replaces additional piston rings and guarantees rapid and sufficient dissipation of the heat absorbed by the auxiliary ring 3.
