Abstract

An installation is claimed for thermal treatment of a charge incorporating at least two treatment cells able to be arranged in a superimposed manner. The installation includes some elevators (8) displacing the charge between high and low positions in order to transfer it between the two cells and co-operating with a system for fixing the charge in the upper cell. The elevators (8) also incorporate a pedestal (20) supporting the charge, mounted to rotate in the lower cell (6) and able to pivot, in the upper position, in order to lock and unlock the charge in the upper cell. the installation incorporates a translation guidance system for the charge support pedestal (20) to assure the retention of the charge support pedestal (20) in two characteristic angular positions (G
