Zur Verpackung und Lagerhaltung von Gütern jeder Art finden Behälter, die aus ^T. ^llpappe bestehen und sich aus einer bearbeiteten Tafel mit geringem Zeit- und Kostenaufwand zum füllbereiten Verpackungskörper in Hand- oder Maschinenarbeit bilden lasset., bevorzugt und im stetig steicendem Umfang Verwendung. Die Vorliebe solcher Faltpackungen gegenüber starren Behältern aus anderen Werkstoffen, ζ.Ε. aus Holz, Kunststoffen, Hartpappe o.dgl. ist in der Hauptsache durch die federnde Eigenschaft von Wellpappe, ihres geringen Preises, der einfachen und vielfältigen Bearbeitungsmöglicnkeiten, ihrer großen Widerstandsfähigkeiten gegen unerwünschte auf sie einwirkenden Belastungen u.dgl. begründet.
