Abstract

Modular office construction system, characterised in that it is composed of the necessary and sufficient number of elements or modules, assembled under the action of gravity, each corresponding to a specified function, namely the work surface function, the rest/storage function and the rest/guide-conductor function, the guide-conductor function being performed by a column (1B) forming, on a lower fraction of its height, a rest for a corner of a single platform serving as the work surface (9), above the level of which, on an upper fraction (8), it gives access to the set of various conductors feeding the equipment placed on the said platform, the said platform comprising on each side of the said column a wing (2) (3), the end of which rests on a chest (1C) (10) performing the rest function and moreover capable of performing the storage function, the juxtaposition of at least two such identical platforms along any two of their respective sides with a view to extending the structure to assemblies of unlimited dimensions being achieved by sharing at least one rest module, the said elements being linked to one another by means for positioning and for holding in position via gravity ensuring the correspondence of the respective volumes by their natural mutual adaptation. <IMAGE>

Description

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein neues modulares Bausystem für Büros, das insbesondere auf die Verwirklichung von als "Landschaften" bezeichneten Einheiten ausgehend von einer bestimmten Anzahl von Standardmodellen, die auf geeignete Weise zusammengefügt sind, anwendbar ist.The present invention relates to a new modular construction system for offices, particularly applicable to the realization of units called "landscapes" starting from a certain number of standard models, suitably assembled.

Sie haben alle den Nachteil, daß sie eine sehr große Anzahl von unterschiedlichen Modulen umfassen, woraus sich für den Benutzer die Notwendickeit ergibt, für jede Größe und jede in einer Einheit vorgesehene Anordnung einen anderen Modul zu benötigen, der speziell für eine solche Größe oder eine solche Anordnung vorgesehen ist. Daher benötigen die bekannten Systeme derzeit eine erhebliche Anzahl von Bestandteilen, beispielsweise fünfhundert, was die Verwaltung derartiger Systeme äußerst schwerfällig und kompliziert macht. Dies gilt umso mehr dann, wenn ein Unternehmen seinem Kundenkreis mehrere verschiedene Systeme anbietet. Darüber hinaus benötigt die Zusammenfügung dieser Module miteinander oftmals Elemente, die zwar nicht sehr kompliziert sind, jedoch wenigstens Kosten für qualifizierte Arbeit zur Folge haben und viel Zeit beanspruchen.Such systems already exist in large numbers. Claims

1. Transformable office furniture comprising four modules, namely

- a first module which fulfils the function of a working plane comprising a flat upper surface and a flat lower surface, and which has a first and a second side wing and an angle connecting section for the wings, the wings and the angle section together forming a working surface,

- a second carrier module in the form of a container forming a cabinet unit,

- a third carrier module in the form of a container forming a cabinet unit, and

- a fourth module in the form of a column extending above the upper surface of the first module to allow the passage of conductors supplying the devices located on the upper surface, characterized in that

- the first module is in the form of a single plate (1A) which can be used on both sides, with one corner of the angle section being bevelled,

- the second support module (1C) has an upper surface designed to support the end of the first wing (2) of the first module,

- the third support module (1D) has an upper surface designed to support the end of the second wing (3) of the first module,

- the fourth module (1B) has a flat, horizontal surface (9) intended to support the bevelled corner (5) of the angle section of the first module,

- whereby, in order to extend the structure into units with unrestricted dimensions, the juxtaposition of at least two such completely identical plates along any two of their ends by jointly using at least one support module (1C or 1D),

- these modules are joined together by positioning means and by holding means that utilize gravity.

2. System according to claim 1, characterized in that the two wings (2, 3) of the plate (1A) have different widths (l, L), the containers for supporting the ends (1C, 1D) having depths equal to the corresponding widths.

3. System according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the width of each container is equal to twice the width of the support surface of a plate, the surface remaining available being used to support the end of a second plate placed next to it in order to place a shelf or the like thereon or to arrange a second, additional plate thereon.

4. System according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the column (1B) is a prism with a square base (7), the upper part (8) of which, located above the lower plane of the plate, is recessed along a diagonal in such a way as to form a triangular support plane (9) on which the corresponding corner (5) of the plate (1A) comes to rest, this corner having a bevel whose length is equal to the diagonal of the square.

5. System according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the column has a circumferential groove at the level of the plate, the height of which is slightly greater than the thickness of the plate, while the plate has a recess in the corresponding corner, the dimension and shape of which correspond to the horizontal cross-section of the column.

6. System according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that between two support modules a panel in the form of a folding curtain is hung so that a covering variable in width is formed.

7. System according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the positioning and holding means are formed by a pin/socket pair, each of the two elements being formed in the plate or in the support module or vice versa.

8. System according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the positioning and holding means are formed by dowels which completely pass through an elongated hole in the plate in order to be received in a corresponding support receiving seat.
