Abdichtung für die Deckel von Konservengläsern In der Zeichnung ist
ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt, und zwar zeigen
Abb. i eine Seitenansicht des Glases mit teilweisem Schnitt an der Schließstelle,
Abb. 2 eine Seitenansicht des Glases mit hochgeklapptem Gummiring im Gegensatz zu
Abb. i, wo der Gununiring heruntergeklappt ist, und zwar so weit, daß der Deckel
frei liegt, und Abb. 3 eine weitere Teilansicht des Glases. Die in der Zeichnung
dargestellte Abdichtung besteht aus einem Gummiring a, welcher an der oberen Seite
mit zwei überstehenden Zipfeln b, es kann natürlich auch nur einer sein, versehen
ist, die zum Anfassen des Gummiringes beim Abstreifen desselben dienen. Diese Zipfel
sind durchlocht zu dem Zweck, um eine Kordel o. dgl. durchzuziehen, deren beide
Enden geknotet und dann mit einer Plombe versehen werden können und so ein unbefugtes
öffnen des Glases verhindern. Glas und Deckel sind, wie es aus der Zeichnung ersichtlich
ist, an der Außenseite, und zwar an der Schließstelle, konvex gewölbt. Diese Ausbildung
kann natürlich auch eine gerade oder sonstige geeignete Form aufweisen. Durch die
konvexe Formung wird, wie an sich bekannt, auf Deckel und Glas ein Anzugsmoment
ausgeübt, und zwar derartig, daß Deckel- und Glasrand fest zusam.-mengepreßt werden.
Das Glas ist am oberen Rande mit einer Ringnut c versehen. Durch eine Kordel d,
Draht o. dgl. wird der Gummiring a in diese Nut hineingedrückt. Es geschieht dies
zu dem Zweck, damit der Gummiring a beim Aufsetzen des Deckels nicht nach unten
abrutscht, sondern in der halbabgezogenen Stellung, wie Abb. i zeigt, am Glase festgehalten
wird. Es ist zweckmäßig, am Glas einen Rand e anzubringen, an dem der Gummiring
anliegt. Unten am Deckelrand sind ein oder mehrere Nuten f angebracht, damit in
Verbindung mit der Nut der in dem Glas vorhandene innere Druck, der durch den Kochprozeß
