Bandage wires It is known to use non-magnetic bandage wires made of austenitic
Iron-chromium-nickel, iron-chromium-manganese and iron-chromium-nickel-manganese alloys
to manufacture. The hard-drawn bandage wires made from these steel alloys
however, have the disadvantage that they are brittle during operation or even during storage
will.
12 - 24 '/o Chrom,
7 - 6o0/0 Nickel,
I - 6 0/0 Kupfer
The aim of the invention is to provide non-magnetic bandage wires, in particular for bandaging the end windings of electrical machines, which are used by. are free of the stated disadvantage. This purpose is achieved according to the invention by non-magnetic bandage wires, which consist of an austenitic steel alloy which, in addition to the usual contents of silicon, manganese and impurities 0.02 to o, q.% Carbon,
12 - 24 '/ o chrome,
7 - 6o0 / 0 nickel,
I - 6 0/0 copper
contains. Bandage wires made of steel alloys with have proven particularly useful o, o2 to 0.2 0/0 carbon,
15 - 20 0j0 chrome,
7 - II Ofp Nickel,
1 - 3 0/0 copper.
Without deviating from the invention, the nickel in the specified alloys can be replaced in whole or in part by manganese or cobalt or both. If the nickel is completely replaced by manganese, the manganese content can be about 6 to 20%. If the nickel is completely replaced by cobalt, the cobalt content is about 12 to 60 per cent. _ If the nickel is partially replaced, the manganese and cobalt contents are correspondingly lower. In addition to the elements already mentioned, the alloys used according to the invention can also contain titanium, vanadium, tantalum, niobium, tungsten or molybdenum, individually or in groups, up to 5%.
