Description
Method for working weft knitted fabrics with ribs, egg loops and flat stitches Weft knitting machine for carrying out this method The invention relates to a method of working weft knitted fabrics with bar stitches on the flat Weft knitting machine, whereby the loops of the bartack thread after the curling by means of of the cover pins and by means of the chair pins down through the meanwhile ordinary stitches to be applied to the cover needles are passed through the needle shafts will.
In the known method of this type chair needles are used, the hooks of which have two locking points lying one below the other. The bartack loops should when pulling through the usual mesh under the upper closing point be held, but this is only possible as long as the wave-shaped needle tip is not deformed by the jammed thread loops. Except for this one The known method still has due to the uncertainty of the bar mesh formation the further disadvantage that the bar thread loops after pulling through the ordinary stitches enclosed by the lower part of the chair needle head and therefore cannot easily be applied to the needle tip. In order to make this possible, the up to then-from the lower parts of the Chair needle heads held thread loops to the locking hooks of the sinkers be handed over, but this cannot be reliably carried out, since this is those containment hooks sideways past the chair needle heads and -in the tense and therefore on must pierce the latter adjoining bartack loops. Afterwards the needle needles moved upwards together with the chair needles, then the ordinary ones Stitches and the bartack thread loops - one below the other on the chair needle shafts hang. After that, the ordinary stitches are made by lowering both Needle types Enclosed in the chair needle heads and the bar-thread loops on the needle point and then through the needle point over the ordinary mesh to be knocked off.
According to the invention, this goal becomes faster and more reliable achieved in that the chair needles to capture the bar thread loops higher than when knitting a thread to form ordinary loops and the loops of the bar thread by means of one on them below the needle point take the provided projection with you and pull it through the usual meshes, which get here at the same time on the needles, after which the needles from the ordinary stitches pulled out and below these stitches between them and the bartack loops are reinserted into the stitching of the needles, in order to use the top needles to loops the bartack thread on their next downward gear across the ordinary stitches that are now enclosed in the chair needle to knock off. To facilitate the execution of this procedure, it is expedient to obtain the chair needles below the needle tips on the side, the last one each barb-like projection through which the prong of the chair needle concerned passes through.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung. The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the invention.

Abb.8 erläutert den Antrieb der Stuhlnadeln.Figure 8 explains how the chair needles are driven.
Fig.9 is the stitch pattern of the well-known knitted fabric with bar stitches. - In order to be able to incorporate the bar stitches i according to Fig.9 iii into the knitted fabric so that they wrap around the legs of every ordinary stitch2 of the knitted fabric, chair needles3 are used according to the invention, each having a protrusion or hook part15 below the needle tips4, with the . Zaschm6 the chair needles extend through those hook parts5 to below them.
The drive of these chair needles 3 is set up according to Fig. 8 in such a way that the hook parts 5 remain below the knock-off edge of the knock-off sinkers 7 when working smooth stitches. Here, the drive movement of the chair needles 3 is picked up from the cam disc 8 in the usual way by means of the roller 9 , which is axially adjustable on its bearing pin, and transmitted to the individual StuhInadelbarren 13 by means of lever io, shaft ii and lever 12.
When bar stitches are to be worked, the roller 9 is shifted laterally and set in the area of the cam disc 14, the arc part of which has a smaller radius than the corresponding part of the cam disc 8 , so that the chair needles 3 are raised higher than when working the usual stitches. Here, the hook part 5 of each chair needle as shown in Fig. I reaches the area of the sinker and distributor plates i g.
With this setting of the chair needles 3 , a bartack thread is knocked below the hook parts 5. When the bar loops i are formed, the cover needles 1 6 are lowered and their tips 17 are inserted into the chair needle loops 6 below the hook parts 5 and the bar loops i as shown in FIG. During the downward movement of the chair and cover needles 3 and 16, the last stitches 2 of the knitted fabric lying on the sinkers as shown in Fig . It is useful here to lift the cover needle a little off the chair needle so that the locking mesh can slide along the chair needle shaft unhindered.
Thereafter, the top needle tips 17 are pulled out of the meshes 2 as shown in Fig. 4 and around the latter with their tips 17 between the meshes 2 and the bar loops i again: inserted into the hooks 6 so that with the now following downward movement of the cover needles the bar loops i get on the cover needle tips 1 7 and are then moved by this over the hook parts 5 away. Meanwhile, the ordinary stitches which have not yet been cast off have been locked into the chair needle heads. If the chair needles 3 are now lowered further and the cover needles 1 6 are moved upwards, the bar loops i are knocked off as shown in Fig. 6 , after which a new normal row of stitches can be worked.
