Verfahren zur Darstellung eines blauen Farbstoffs durch Condensation von ß-AmidoalizarinProcess for the preparation of a blue dye by condensation of ß-amidoalizarin

Zur Darstellung des Farbstoffs nimmt man auf ι Theil ß-Amidoalizarin 5 Theile Alkohol (95 pCt.), ι Theil Formaldehyd und läfst innerhalb einer Stunde bei ioo° 7 Theile concentrirte Schwefelsäure nach und nach zufliefsen. Man verdünnt dann die Masse mit wenig Wasser und kocht, wobei der Farbstoff als schwefelsaures Salz in Lösung geht, filtrirt und verdünnt die Flüssigkeit mit viel Wasser. Nach kurzer Zeit scheidet sich aus dieser Flüssigkeit das Farbsalz in braunen Flocken aus. Dieselben werden einige Zeit mit ziemlich concentrirter Natronlauge gekocht, wobei unzersetztes ß-Amidoalizarin und wenig blauer Farbstoff in Lösung geht. Man filtrirt und behandelt das zurückbleibende Natronsalz des Farbstoffes einige Male mit heifsem Wasser. Salzsäure und 0,5 Theile Formaldehyd und erhitzt im Wasserbade Y4 Stunde bei 70 °, hierauf giebt man noch ι Theil entwässerte Oxalsäure hinzu und erhitzt noch Y4 Stunde bei 700, dann fügt man noch 1 Theil entwässerte Oxalsäure und 0,2 Theile Formaldehyd dazu und erhitzt noch Y4 Stunde bei ioo°.
