Mehrzylindrige Zweitaktbrennkraftmaschine Bei Zweitaktbrennkraftmaschinen
Multi-cylinder two-stroke internal combustion engine In two-stroke internal combustion engines
it is known to arrange a tube on the working piston that allows access to the
Machine-fed fuel-air mixture to the annular working space of the cylinder
controls. This head tube was closed at the upper end and below it with lateral
Provided with slots. Such pipes, however, acted as pump pistons and pressed in the supply space
the supplied charge back accordingly, creating a change in the direction of flow
occurs, which disturbs the smooth operation of the engine and a loss of fuel
has the consequence. Such controls have been proposed for twin machines
to be used with opposing pistons. The crank chambers were separated from each other
and the control tubes are also provided with a lower closure, creating a complete
Separation of the crank chambers from the supply of the charge took place. With this machine
are the control tubes in opposite directions, so that their movement of the volume
the suction chamber remains unchanged, but because of its closure on both of them
The pistons change the volume of the crank chambers considerably because the ends
Pistons have a much larger cross-section than the control tubes.
In contrast, according to the invention, the crankcases of two working cylinders working offset by 180 ° are connected to one another, and these cylinders have a common charge receiver. The two control tubes of the cylinder pair are either open so that there is a permanent open connection between the charge receiver and the two crankcases, -or they can be closed above the slots protruding into the charge receiver at top dead center. As a result of this arrangement, the control tubes are both with the common charge receiver and. with the common crank chamber in connection, whereby the total space within .the charge receiver and the common crank chamber through the opposing working head tubes and front sight
always remains unchanged.
The drawing shows two versions, @
Examples of the invention shown.
Fig. I shows a two-stroke internal combustion engine in longitudinal section, Fig.
z an identical machine with control tubes closed at the top, Fig. 3 a cross-section
through the charge receiver.
Die Kolben a, d arbeiten in
ihren Zylindern mit ihren aufgesetzten Steuerrohren f, f in Führungen g,
g'. Laie Steuerrohre f, f' ind durchweg offen und besitzen unterhalb ihres oberen
Endes Schlitze!,!'.
Ladung entsprechende Druck. In the embodiment of the two-stroke internal combustion engine according to Fig. I, the two working pistons a, d on their common crank b are offset from one another by i 80 'and have a common crankcase c. The pistons a, d work in their cylinders with their attached control tubes f, f in guides g, g '. Lay control tubes f, f 'ind consistently open and have slots!,!' Below their upper end. With these ends they protrude into a common charge receiver which is provided with a connector 1 for connecting a charge compressor. The charge enters; unimpeded through the slots i, i ' in the. annular working space of the cylinder and drives the exhaust gases through the openings m and m ' . Since the charge pick-up k and the common crank chamber c are in constant communication with each other through the control tubes f, f, the same pressure, corresponding to the compressed charge fed in, always prevails in all rooms while the machine is in motion.
f, f' oberhalb ihrer Schlitze!,!' geschlossen. Sie wirken also innerhalb ihrer Führungen
g, g' als Kolben. In. dem Ladungsaufnehmer k ist ein besonderer . Zuführungsraum
r für die
dung gebildet, dessen Seitenwandung s die
uerrohre in Führungeng, g' in beinahe
'schlossenem Raum umgibt.
In the embodiment of the invention according to Fig. Z and 3, the control tubes f, f 'are above their slots!,!' closed. They thus act as pistons within their guides g, g '. In. the charge receiver k is a special one. Feeding room r for the Formed dung, the side wall s the
outer tubes in guidesg, g 'almost
'enclosed space. This room r
It is in direct connection with the fresh gas supply 1. This arrangement ensures a good swirling of the fuel-air mixture and also prevents the mixture displaced from the control tube guide g, g 'from escaping from the connection piece 1 when a piston moves upwards , but directly to the other piston, which is falling at the same time and which has a sucking effect in its guide tube. This has a particularly beneficial effect on high-speed engines.
