Description

Lubricating device for internal combustion engines The invention relates to a lubrication device for internal combustion engines, in which the whole in excess The lubricating oil supplied is cleaned and cooled before it is transferred to the lubrication points will.

In known devices of this type, it is customary to collect all of the oil conveyed into the lubricating oil line in a collecting container, e.g. B. the oil sump of the internal combustion engine to be fed back. From there it starts its cycle again, which leads through the oil pump, filter, oil cooler and tube oil line to the oil sump. These devices have the disadvantage that the excess oil is mixed with the unclean oil present in the oil container and is heated by the internal combustion engine and therefore has to be filtered and cooled again.

The invention aims to eliminate these disadvantages. she consists in that the excess lubricating oil by means of a behind the last lubrication point special line connected to the lubrication line directly to the oil pump is returned.

In the figures, an embodiment of the invention is shown as an example. Fig. I shows the longitudinal view of an internal combustion engine; Fig - is a view in the direction 11 of Fig. I.

Vom Kühler 4 führt eine Leitung i o zu den Schmierstellen i i, z. The internal combustion engine i is equipped with a lubricating oil pump 2, a lubricating oil filter 3 and a lubricating oil cooler 4. In the oil sump 5 of the internal combustion engine i there is an intake pipe 6 which is connected to the suction nozzle 7 of the lubricating oil pump 2. 8 is a VerbindungslLeitung between the pump - and the filter 3. Figure 9 is a connecting line zwi.schen the filter 3 -and the cooling he # 4. From the cooler 4 io a line leads to the lubrication points ii, z. B. d, -n crank and connecting rod bearings of the internal combustion engine i. At the end of the line io behind the last lubrication point, an overflow valve 12 is arranged, to which a line 13 connects, which leads to the lubricating oil pump 2.

The internal combustion engine is lubricated in the following way: The lubricating oil flows from the collecting container 5 via Schnü2 # r, 51-pump 2, filter 3, oil cooler 4 and line io to the individual lubrication points ii d - r machine i. After it has lubricated the bearings, it emerges on the sides of the bearings and collects in the oil sump 5 of the crank heat of the internal combustion engine. In addition to lubrication, the oil is also required for cooling. For this reason, leading loading Sonders the crankshaft and. Conrod bearings to an excess of lubricating oil, which serves to dissipate the resulting from the bearing friction, -Wärine. The whole lubrication system has a certain resistance which the oil pump 2 has to overcome. In order for the same to surely overcome this resistance , it pumps the oil into the lubricating oil line at a higher pressure than would actually be necessary. For this reason, at the end of the lubrication line io behind the 'last lubrication point, an overflow valve 12 is switched on, which is set to the pressure which corresponds approximately to the resistance. Part of the contaminated lubricating oil overflows continuously at point 12. According to the invention, the overflowing 01 is fed directly to the suction side of the lubricating oil pump 2 by means of a special line 13. The line 13 runs in the exemplary embodiment outside of the machine gel.

The advantage of the invention results from the fact that the oil that has already been filtered and cooled is immediately fed into the PUMP2. The pump no longer needs to suck in as much oil as usual from the collecting tank. The over flowed, filtered and cooled 01 So mixed with a much smaller amount of unfiltered. and heated oil, so that it starts the oil cycle at the beginning with a lower temperature and in a less polluted state.
