Dies erreicht die Erfindung bei einer Verdunklungsvorrichtung der eingangs ge- nannten Art dadurch, daß die Faltkanten der Vorhangbahn auf der von der abzuschirmenden öffnung abliegenden Seite derart mit Versteifungsstreifen versehen sind, daß diese Streifen nach Ausziehen der Vorhangbahn von dieser Bahn abstehen und diese Bahn beim Ausziehen glatt über die Umrahmung der öffnung legen. Praktisch stehen die Versteifungsstreifen schon nach teilweisem Ausziehen der Vorhangbahn senkrecht zur Ebene der abzuschirmenden öffnung, so daß sie eine große Versteifungswirkung gewährleisten.
