Description
Process for the preservation of manure and liquid manure by the patent 66q.996 is a process for the conservation of manure and manure protected, that consists in adding very small amounts (o, ooi to 0.2%) of a bactericide effective against urea decomposers and a known one Ammonia binder adds. When working through the preservation process it turned out that only a part of the active substances against urea decomposers Bactericide ensures an extensive preservation of the nitrogen while another part loses a significant amount of the nitrogen as ammonia. As has been found, this is based on the fact that all of them are effective against urea decomposers Bactericides kill the bacteria and thus prevent their urea-decomposing activity, that only a part of these bactericides is also effective against that caused by the Bacteria also form urea-decomposing ferment urease.
It has now been found that it succeeds in the nitrogen of the manure and of the stable manure practically completely conserved if you use the animal Waste materials apart from a bactericide effective against urea decomposers Urease poison and expediently also adds a known ammonia binder. To complete It has been found that preservation of animal waste is extremely sufficient small amounts of these additives, about 0.50 /, on the substance to be preserved calculated.
Aus gegen Harnstoffzersetzer wirksamen Baktericiden, Ureasegiften und Ammoniakbindern bestehen beispielsweise die nachstehenden Mischungen i. 98 Gewichtsteile Eisensulfat, i Gewichtsteil Kupfersulfat, i Gewichtsteil Zinkverbindung des Azofarbstoffs Phenolsulfonsäure-azo-mphenyl-endiamin.For example, the following mixtures i. 98 parts by weight of iron sulfate, 1 part by weight of copper sulfate, 1 part by weight of the zinc compound of the azo dye phenolsulfonic acid-azo-mphenyl-enediamine.
2. 8o Gewichtsteile Schwefelsäure, 18 Ge-, wichtsteile Formaldehyd, 2 Gewichtsteile Kup@,1 fernitrat. ``' 3. 7o Gewichtsteile Natriumbisulfat, io 1s` wichtsteile Mangansulfat, 2o Gewichtste der Kupferverbindung des Azofarbstoffs Phenolsulfonsäure-azo-m-phenylendiamin.2. 8o parts by weight of sulfuric acid, 18 parts by weight of formaldehyde, 2 parts by weight of Kup @, 1 far nitrate. `` '3.70 parts by weight of sodium bisulfate, io 1s' parts by weight of manganese sulfate, 2o parts by weight of the copper compound of the azo dye phenolsulfonic acid azo-m-phenylenediamine.
,4. 6o Gewichtsteile Oxalsäure, 2o Gewichtsteile Phenol, 2o Gewichtsteile Trichloressigsäure., 4. 60 parts by weight of oxalic acid, 20 parts by weight of phenol, 20 parts by weight Trichloroacetic acid.
5. 45 Gewichtsteile Salzsäure, 45 Gewichtsteile Schwefelsäure, 5 Gewichtsteile Quecksilbersulfat, 5 Gewichtsteile Formaldehyd.5. 45 parts by weight of hydrochloric acid, 45 parts by weight of sulfuric acid, 5 parts by weight Mercury sulfate, 5 parts by weight formaldehyde.
Of these mixtures, for example, amounts of o, i to o, 50 / ,, based on the amount of urine; applied. All urease-destroying fermenticides, especially soluble heavy metal compounds can be used. Particularly those compounds which act both as bactericides and as ferment poisons are suitable act, e.g. B. Compounds containing a heavy metal complex bound. Such Compounds which, in addition to a pronounced bactericidal effect, also have a fermenticide Have an effect are, for example: Zinc compound of the azo dye f phenol sulfone acid-azo-m-phenylenediamine, copper compound of the azo dye phenolsulfonic acid-azo-mphenylenediamine, complex silver compound of 8-oxyquinoline, copper complex of 8-oxyquinoline, Copper zinc compound of the dye phenol sulfonic acid azo-m-phenylenediamine, copper compound of the azo dye from dianisidine and 1,8-dioxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid.
The means can be used both as ready-made mixtures or as solutions as well as being added individually and one after the other to the liquid manure or the manure.
About urea decomposition on the way from the animal to the cesspool or to avoid the fertilizer heap as much as possible, it is advantageous to use the Preservatives in whole or in part in the barn, in the case of manure in powder form in the litter, in the case of manure in the drainage channel. Because solutions or powder In the latter case, funds are swamped too quickly, it has proven to be expedient highlighted, the preservative mixture in pieces, possibly shaped, to use.
The previous proposals to preserve manure and liquid manure have did not lead to a practically usable result. So it has been suggested Use sulfuric acid, sodium bisulphate or formalin for preservation. These Substances were added to chemically convert the nitrogen present as ammonium carbonate to tie; accordingly, they had to be added in such large amounts that an economic viability of the process could not be achieved. When using the formalin had the further disadvantage that 6T was harmful to formaldehyde affected the soil and plant growth. Another suggestion was made Disinfect fertilizers with fluorine compounds. Apart from the concerns in industrial hygiene Relationship made because of the great toxicity to fluorine compounds, so large amounts would have to be added to preserve animal waste, that the process would be uneconomical. With the also proposed use of copper sulfate for preservation, the nitrogen would be called copper tetramine sulfate present bound; as this is decomposed by the atmosphere, it is with copper sulfate no preservation possible under the conditions prevailing in agriculture. Furthermore, large quantities (0.3 to 1/4) of copper sulphate would have to be used that the process would be uneconomical. Mixtures of iron sulfate, carbolic acid, Nitrobenzene and possibly also crude chloroform have been proposed as additives for disinfecting faeces. This process has also not been able to be implemented in practice because it is used for disinfection the fertilizer would require very large quantities of the additives, and above all therefore, because the lirease is not destroyed, so a complete preservation of the fertilizer not happened.
All these previous proposals were doomed to failure precisely because their implementation is uneconomical and in particular because it was not recognized that it is essential for conservation that not only the bacteria but also the urease be destroyed. Example 4.7 cbm urine with an average content of 0.79% nitrogen entered a cesspool from a cattle shed. During the experiment, behind each animal, a molding weighing 40 g was placed in the cesspool every day, the following composition had 98 °; Iron sulfate, i0, /, the copper compound of the azo dye phenolsulfonic acid azo-mphenylenediamine and 10 /, copper sulfate. During the duration of the experiment, 37.4 kg of nitrogen got into the cesspool from urine. At the end of the experiment, 37.0 kg of nitrogen were found in the trench. The conservation was therefore 99% successful. In the parallel experiment running at the same time without additives, only 20, q.0 /, of the nitrogen were found under the same conditions after the end of the experiment.
